Behind every operation is a team that makes it possible. Surgery is never a one-person job. It’s a group of highly skilled people working in sync, anticipating each step, supporting each other, and focused on the same goal: the best outcome for the patient.
I’m incredibly grateful to work with a theatre team that brings not only expertise, but kindness, humour and trust into the operating room every day.

I think parkrun is one of the best ways to start getting active after bariatric surgery.

It’s free.
You can walk, jog, stop, start again.
No pressure. No judgement. Just movement and community.

You don’t have to be fast — you just have to show up. 🏃‍♀️🚶‍♀️💪

Construction of a laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy over a 36 French bougie.

A 36F bougie (≈12 mm diameter) provides a balanced sleeve calibration, aiming for a functional gastric volume of approximately 70–100 mL, while maintaining an acceptable margin for leak risk, reflux, and long-term durability.

Last day in theatres for 2025!!!
Feeling incredibly grateful for this outstanding team who make every operating list run with skill, care, and plenty of laughs along the way.
Your efforts and dedication never go unnoticed, and it’s a privilege to work alongside people I genuinely call friends.
To those not pictured but just as essential to what we do: thank you. It truly takes a village, and I’m grateful for every single one of you.
Here’s to meaningful work, great laughs, and an even better 2026 ahead.

What you see me holding is the portion of the stomach removed during a laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy. I’ve inflated it to show just how much volume it once held — and to give perspective on how life-changing this procedure can be.
Bariatric surgery isn’t about taking the “easy way out.” It’s about giving patients a tool — one that helps them reclaim their health, confidence, and longevity. It’s about controlling hunger, resetting habits, and building a sustainable future.
Every stomach I remove represents a story of courage and transformation. The decision to have surgery is never made lightly, but it’s one of the most powerful steps a person can take towards a healthier life. 💪🏼
