We have 3 centres located in Essendon, Burwood and Footscray. Our centres are open 7 days a week for your convenience and can accommodate patients requiring urgent, same day consultations. We also welcome any new patients. SIA Medical Centre offers both experienced General Practitioners (both male and female) and friendly nurses. Our GPs also have a special interest in Diabetes Management, Chronic Disease Management, Acupuncture, Natural Therapies, Pregnancy and Women’s Health, Men’s Health and Travel Medicine. We have a HICAPS machine and accept all insurance funds, ensuring you access to your rebates from your health fund. Recently, we came together to celebrate a very special moment—Dr. Martin Sia’s decision to step back from consulting after more than 32 years of dedicated service to the Melbourne community. 💙💚

It was a bittersweet milestone, marked with a heartfelt lunch among colleagues. Stories were shared, memories were honoured, and the baton was gently passed to the next generation of GPs in the room.

While Dr. Martin will no longer be consulting, he will very much remain involved with SIA Medical in guiding and supporting the team with the same integrity that has defined his career.

We extend our deepest thanks to Dr. Martin for the legacy he’s built, and we wish him every happiness in this next chapter. The clinic won’t be quite the same—but we know he’s off to something just as meaningful.

Meet Dr Amit, an experienced and down-to-earth GP who began his medical career in Delhi, India, where he completed his MBBS and worked in surgical departments across prestigious hospitals.

In 2008, he moved to Australia to broaden his experience, completing the Australian Medical Graduate Certificate in 2010. Since then, he has worked at respected institutions including Western Health, Eastern Health, Echuca Regional Hospital, and Seymour Hospital.

Dr Amit holds multiple postgraduate qualifications, including a Diploma in Public Health from Deakin University (Melbourne) and a Diploma in Skin Cancer from Bond University (Queensland). He achieved his FRACGP in 2019.

🩺 His clinical interests include:
Mental health, men’s health, sports medicine, chronic disease management, and preventive medicine.
He has special interest in:
✔️ Diabetes (DM), hypertension (HTN), chronic kidney disease (CKD), heart failure, peripheral vascular disease (PVD), Parkinson’s disease, falls prevention
✔️ Minor surgical procedures including:
