A little bit of this and that for the week… 🫶🏽
Health & Fitness is a choice I make every single day.
It doesn’t happen by accident and definitely doesn’t happen without effort.
Apart from my family, my health is my biggest priority. Because without it, we have nothing. You can’t show up for your family if you’re not looking after yourself first.
This isn’t about looks, it’s about energy, longevity and living up to your true potential.
Too many people choose comfort over what it truly feels like to be a healthy & thriving human.
And I think that’s sad! We only get one life… Why not see what you’re truly capable of?
So, while others unwind on a Friday night, I’ve been meal prepping to ensure I’m fuelled properly for my 2 days of 3 x 6.7km runs (20kms for both Saturday & Sunday)
Tomorrow: 3 x 6.7km loops before 9am, then straight in the car to the Melbourne for the footy and back.
I’ve recognised over the years that eating out doesn’t make me feel good and while I enjoy going out for dinner on the occasion, after running in pain for 4 hours last week, I’m not risking that again.
So, this weekend I’m prepared:
• Raw Milk Iced Coffee + homemade energy/protein balls for my run & electrolytes.
• Eggs, parmesan, beef mince, sweet potato & avocado for post-run fuel/brunch (in the car)
• Chief protein bar, banana & rice cakes for snacks at the footy
• Hot honey bowls for dinner on the way home
Preparation beats excuses. Every time.
Yes, this takes time! Yes, I have to prioritise it, yes, I don’t sit down and watch tv because I’d rather spend my time otherwise. BUT… If you truely want to feel your best you, you need to stop making excuses, not follow the crowd and find what works for you and make it your lifestyle.
You have no idea how good you can feel!
