A little bit of this and that for the week… 🫶🏽

Health & Fitness is a choice I make every single day.

It doesn’t happen by accident and definitely doesn’t happen without effort.

Apart from my family, my health is my biggest priority. Because without it, we have nothing. You can’t show up for your family if you’re not looking after yourself first.
This isn’t about looks, it’s about energy, longevity and living up to your true potential.

Too many people choose comfort over what it truly feels like to be a healthy & thriving human.
And I think that’s sad! We only get one life… Why not see what you’re truly capable of?

So, while others unwind on a Friday night, I’ve been meal prepping to ensure I’m fuelled properly for my 2 days of 3 x 6.7km runs (20kms for both Saturday & Sunday)

Tomorrow: 3 x 6.7km loops before 9am, then straight in the car to the Melbourne for the footy and back.

I’ve recognised over the years that eating out doesn’t make me feel good and while I enjoy going out for dinner on the occasion, after running in pain for 4 hours last week, I’m not risking that again.

So, this weekend I’m prepared:
• Raw Milk Iced Coffee + homemade energy/protein balls for my run & electrolytes.
• Eggs, parmesan, beef mince, sweet potato & avocado for post-run fuel/brunch (in the car)
• Chief protein bar, banana & rice cakes for snacks at the footy
• Hot honey bowls for dinner on the way home

Preparation beats excuses. Every time.

Yes, this takes time! Yes, I have to prioritise it, yes, I don’t sit down and watch tv because I’d rather spend my time otherwise. BUT… If you truely want to feel your best you, you need to stop making excuses, not follow the crowd and find what works for you and make it your lifestyle.
You have no idea how good you can feel!

Backyard Ultra Training Simulation #2

Absolutely loving this NEW challenge right now.
What I’ve realised most already is that we have no limitations on what we’re capable of and I’m ready to see how far I can push my body in so many different ways!

Saturday Session:
4 x 6.7km loops + an extra push to bring it home at 30km. (Never ran that far in one go)

Between laps fuel:
Salted caramel & chocolate coconut protein balls
Water & Electrolytes on repeat

Post Workout Refuel:
Organic scrambled eggs + parmesan
Organic sourdough with avo
Chocolate & coconut water protein shake

Post-run recovery:
15-minute ice bath ❄️

Next day reset:
60-min walk
60-min recovery spin bike
Mobility work to keep the body fresh

Next Day Recovery fuel:
Scrambled eggs, parmesan toast & avo
Chocolate coconut protein shake
Protein balls + plenty of electrolytes
Steak with crispy parmesan potatoes & rocket salad
High Protein Chocolate Sweet Potato Brownie

Train. Refuel. Recover. Repeat.

Ready to test yourself physically and mentally?
Our 26km for 2026 was such a vibe that I’ve decided to design new challenges monthly to give people the opportunity to push themselves in a fun and supportive environment.

We’ve got a new partner challenge coming up that’s going to hurt in the best way. 💪🏽

(2 rounds of each station) 20 min time cap at each station.

• Partner B: Max Effort Walking
Lunges

• Partner A: 1km Ski
• Partner B: Max Effort Burpee Broad Jumps

• Partner A: 2km Assault Bike
• Partner B: Max Effort Wall Balls
