Mums and Bubs Yoga

Let’s face it, motherhood can be isolating and lonely. The activities you used to enjoy are no longer an option to you as you have a “plus one”. Your friends can’t relate to your talk of sleeping and feeding and pooing. You find yourself spending more and more time at home, or walking laps of the block.

Break up your week with mums and bubs yoga in the pavillion at Acre! Here you will gently move and stretch your body, clear your mind, and find some space to breath, all with your bub on your mat (or in their stroller if they fall asleep!) And afterwards stick around for a coffee or tea and chat with other mums.

The purpose of the classes is not just fitness, but also playtime to bond with your bub, and a platform to connect with other mums. Taking time to create some space in your body and breathe is vital to a positive state of mind, and having connections with in your community equally so.

Kate is a qualified pre and post natal yoga teacher, who gave birth to her first son Cohen in June. The two of them will guide you through a yoga class, which will be modified where bubs need a feed, a cuddle, a walk around, or a nap. The classes are best suited to babies between 7 weeks to 7 months, however other bubs can be catered for (crawlers must be contained to mums mat though!)
