Aussie Soles “Starfish”orthotic thongs, orthotic jandals, orthotic flip flops or sometimes called orthotic sandals are recommended by 8 out of 10 Podiatrists in Australia who took part in our study that was performed in early 2010.
We asked 400 Australian Podiatrists to take part of which 97 Australian Podiatrists completed the Aussie Soles study of how important it is to wear supportive flip flops and supportive footwear. Also how important is it to include an Arch support in a pair of thongs, flip flops, sandals or any other footwear for that matter. On a scale of 1 to 10, 1 being not important and 10 being very important we also asked how important a tarsal bar is included into the design of supportive thongs , flip flops, sandal.
The Podiatrists commented on how the Aussie Soles Starfish thongs, jandals, flip flops and sandals were very supportive and offered a reasonable amount of support where really needed. We asked the Podiatrists if they would recommend Aussie Soles Starfish orthotic thongs over other flat thongs made from a number of different materials like plastic, leather, polyurethane, rubber and EVA.
