DONATION ENHANCES COMFORT IN GRANITEHILL GARDEN
The residents of the Shovelton unit of GraniteHill can now enjoy their garden in greater comfort thanks to the generosity of Peter Atkinson and Valerie Baule.

The pair recently donated funds to install shade sails in the garden, providing much needed protection from the sun and creating a welcoming outdoor space for residents to relax, socialise, and connect with nature.
The donation has already brought smiles to residents who are eager to enjoy the refreshed garden space.

It stands as a shining example of how community spirit and generosity can enhance the lives of older Australians.

Bowerbird Op Shop Hits $3 Million Milestone

The heart of Euroa was buzzing with celebration last Friday as the beloved Bowerbird Op Shop marked an extraordinary achievement—$3 million in total sales since opening 17 years ago.

Operated entirely by volunteers, the Op Shop donates all proceeds to GraniteHill aged care to fund vital equipment.

To honour this milestone, a lively street celebration outside its storefront was held. Locals gathered from 11am to enjoy a free sausage sizzle and live entertainment by Jimmy Davidson. Strathbogie Shire Mayor Cr Claire Ewart-Kennedy welcomed all and thanked the volunteers for the extraordinary role they have in Euroa.

The Bowerbird Op Shop has long been more than just a place to find secondhand treasures—it’s a symbol of what a small town can achieve when the community comes together, volunteering their time, generously donating goods over the years and supporting the shop with their loyal custom.
