Daffodil Day

Last Friday staff and residents at GraniteHill came together to celebrate Daffodil Day.

Everyone was encouraged to wear yellow, adding a cheerful glow to the day. Joy, a much-loved resident, won the colouring competition with her daffodil-themed artwork.

Joy (pictured in photo) proudly displays a beautiful daffodil creation made by the talented ladies from the Shovelton unit.

Today we celebrated our team for Aged Care Employee Day.

Helen Haines (Independent Federal Member for Indi) and Strathbogie Mayor Claire Ewart-Kennedy also shared a video of thanks, recognising the contributions of our care staff, admin team, cleaners, kitchen crew, maintenance team, allied health, board members and volunteers.

We received lovely messages from residents’ families, and our residents themselves showing heartfelt appreciation.

CEO Melissa Seymour closed the presentation with a sincere thank-you to all staff for their dedication and care.

In a quiet corner of GraniteHill Aged Care, the history of the bush nursing hospital is remembered.

GraniteHill now houses a remarkable historical exhibit that pays tribute to decades of community care. The setup features original medical instruments, photographs, and documents from the former Euroa Bush Nursing Hospital, which served Euroa and surrounding districts for years.

The transformation into a living museum was spearheaded by Sue Martin, who has worked within Euroa Health for over 50 years.

The museum of hospital history is available for all residents, staff and visitors to view, offering a unique opportunity to reflect on the legacy of care that shaped Euroa’s health services.

The Cafe is open everyday and available for all visitors to enjoy a coffee and view the history of the hospital.

Today we welcomed Wendy, David, Helen, Bernice, Linda, Cathy, Georgia and Beverley from the Euroa Bridge Club to play cards with our residents. Your visit brought so much joy, laughter and meaningful connection to our residents. We thank you very much.
