EHMC would like to welcome Chris Clark to his new role as 2IC, bringing more than thirty years of senior experience in the health sector. He holds qualifications in Health Science (Nursing), Health Promotion, Masters of Public Health, and Advanced Diploma in Business Management, and is widely respected for his leadership across the Northern Rivers and North Coast.
Chris has played a key role in shaping primary care in the region, helping establish family care and Headspace services, driving system reform, and championing culturally safe practice. Known for his calm, thoughtful approach, he navigates complex challenges with resilience and a strong commitment to innovation and continuous improvement. Chris is dedicated to fostering a positive, inclusive workplace culture built on openness, honesty, and respect.
Outside of work, Chris enjoys walking his dogs around Evans Head and is an accomplished sportsman, having competed at regional, state, and national levels. 🩺👋😊✨

EHMC would like to welcome Dr Penelope ("Penny") Solofoni to the practice. Dr Penny is a dedicated GP registrar who graduated from the University of Western Sydney Medical School in 2021. She began her GP training in Maclean, developing a strong connection with the local community and a solid understanding of healthcare needs across the Clarence Valley and North Coast.
Dr Penny enjoys the variety and continuity of general practice, with particular interest in chronic disease management and supporting patients in achieving long‑term health goals. Known for her compassionate, patient‑centred approach, Penny works collaboratively with patients to create care plans that fit their lives and empower them to take charge of their health.
Outside of medicine, she enjoys photography, reading, and exploring more of the beautiful North Coast. 😊😎🏄‍♀️

Are you an organised, friendly, and proactive individual looking to make a meaningful contribution in a healthcare setting?
Evans Head Medical Centre is expanding, and we’re on the lookout for a motivated Medical Receptionist / Administrator to join our supportive and dynamic team.

🧭 About the Role
This is a varied and rewarding position where you’ll be the first point of contact for our patients and play a key role in the smooth running of our practice. Your responsibilities will include:

Welcoming patients and visitors with warmth and professionalism
Managing phone enquiries and appointment bookings
Updating patient records and handling billing
Supporting the team with general administrative duties

💼 What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and brings a positive attitude to work every day. Ideally, you’ll have:

Previous experience in administration (medical reception preferred)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong attention to detail and data entry accuracy
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
A commitment to confidentiality and patient care
Flexibility to cover staff leave when needed
