Fair Foundations was proud to take part in this year’s Mayor’s Christmas Appeal as a community partner. In the lead-up to Christmas, we also received generous donations from Woolworths in Cecil Hills, which our team distributed to families experiencing hardship during the holiday season.

We thank everyone who contributed by donating non-perishable food items and new, unwrapped toys at Bonnyrigg, Fairfield, and Wetherill Park Libraries, as well as Fairfield HQ.

Your generosity helped bring comfort and joy to families across our community this Christmas.

Our hearts are heavy following the devastating attack at Bondi Beach yesterday.

The violence directed at members of the Jewish community, and the lives lost, are deeply distressing. Our thoughts are with the victims and their families, and with all those who witnessed or have been affected by this horrific act of antisemitism, at a time that should have been full of joy and celebration.

Hatred and violence of any kind have no place in our society. We stand in solidarity with the Jewish community and with all those impacted by violence. We reject fear and division, and remain committed to building inclusive, resilient, multicultural communities where everyone can belong.

In moments like this, we call for love for humanity and believe that everyone should be treated with kindness, empathy, and respect.

We thank the community members, police and first responders who, despite great personal risk, acted with courage, care, and compassion in the face of such violence.

We must continue to choose care over fear, and love over hatred.

Holiday Closure Update!

Our Community Hub will be closed from Wednesday 25 December to Friday 2 January 2026 (included).

Our Youth Drop-In Service will be closed from Monday 22 December to Friday 2 January 2026 (included).

While our LifeAbility Hub will remain open over the break, with the exception of public holidays, and our OSHC School Holiday Program commences Monday 5 January 2026.

The Dark Side of Technology in Domestic and Family Violence

Fair Foundations partnered with the Multicultural Affairs Centre, Fairfield City Council, TAFE NSW and Cabra-Vale Diggers for an important discussion on the growing misuse of technology in domestic and family violence.

Together, we created space to deepen understanding of how technology is used to control, monitor and intimidate victims, and explored what communities can do to prevent and respond to tech-facilitated abuse.

Fair Foundations supports families experiencing domestic and family violence through a continuum of trauma-informed services, including:

• Supported playgroups and parenting programs
• Targeted case management for families needing intensive support
• Digital literacy and safety programs to help recognise and respond to tech-facilitated abuse

Making Childcare More Affordable: The CCS 3 Day Guarantee Explained

From 5 January 2026, the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) activity test is changing, and eligible families will have access to at least 72 hours a fortnight of subsidised child care per child.

This helps more children access early childhood education and school-aged care, gives families cost-of-living relief, and removes barriers that made quality care harder to access in the past.

We provide personalised assistance, resources, and advocacy to help your family thrive.
