It is with sadness that we share the news that our physical clinic in Fairlight will be closing it's doors. A decision beyond our control as our landlady is selling the clinic property.

Our post-COVID world has shown us that an online naturopathic clinic can offer all the benefits of a traditional face-to-face consult through the convenience of our online platform. Don't worry, we'll still provide our little bit of magic through our liquid herbal and online product dispensary.

The naturopath and nutrition services we provide at Northern Beaches Health and Fertility are essential services for our community and we're confident this transition will work for you too!

For your flexibility, we're extending our final clinic face-to-face appointments (Alison 6/6 & Karen 7/6).

For clinic product and herbal orders, please email us by Wednesday 1st June. All clinic orders will need to be collected from the clinic esky by Monday 9th June. After this date, contact us to request an online product script to have your product delivered directly to your home.

Estimates are that about 4 million Australians have had COVID-19, and that between 10-30% of those who have are infected do not fully recover and still experience symptoms, fatigue being the most common symptom, this is called 'long COVID'. So i read the Spanish research with interest this morning that reported that "according to the latest evidence, 9 out of 10 COVID-19 patients (87%) discharged from hospital experience at least one symptom 60 days after illness onset, with 32% reporting one or two symptoms and 55% presenting three or more. Additionally, more than 50% of symptomatic cases have at least one symptom of the disease 1 year after infection." And there is a gender and age bias with women and people between 40 and 54 years of age are more likely to suffer from long COVID. Also, having a body mass index equal to or greater than 25, reporting three to seven symptoms of COVID-19 in the acute phase, and patients with more than five symptoms during the first week of the disease are factors associated with being prone to suffer from long COVID. The research, González stressed that studies have shown that there are more than 50 long-term effects of COVID-19, the most prevalent being fatigue (58%), headache (44%), attention disorders (27%), and hair loss (25%).
