Athlete Highlight ✨

A big congratulations to Maddi from who recently competed at the Australian National Age Swimming Championships in Brisbane.
Maddi placed 8th out of 59 girls in the 13Yr girls 200m backstroke and 13th in the 100m backstroke.

Her hard work and commitment to the sport is certainly paying off. Congratulations on this wonderful result Maddi! (And her Mum! 😜)

There’s something for everyone in this workout; some powerful compound lifts, plenty of chest and some Matwork Pilates to finish off!
Key things:
💥 the barbell hang cleans are for experienced lifters only. Proper technique is paramount. If you’re unsure, start very light or come in and we can assess your technique!
💥 Always have a spotter or the rig set up safely when bench pressing heavier loads.

Welcome back to Workout Wednesday: where we share workouts to prepare your body better!

This week we have a workout that rehabs a proximal hamstring tendinopathy as well as the rest of the body.

💥 Always remember a proper warm up (swipe to see an example)
💥 Part 1 & 2 are slow, steady with rest in between each set.
💥 Part 3 is an AMRAP (as many rounds as possible). It’s designed to get the heart rate up and work a bit harder!
💥 Please note all rehab is tailored to each individual and if you are suffering with hamstring/ gluteal pain, this workout may not be appropriate for you! Book in to get an appropriate assessment and diagnosis with our expert physios via the link in our bio!

Welcome to Workout Wednesdays! Where we share tried and tested workouts to keep things interesting for you!

A few key things;
1) always spend 5-10 minutes performing a thorough warm up at the start of any work out. And ensure you spend 5-10 minutes doing a cool down as well.
2) each part of the workout is 12 minutes long. So it should take you between 45min- 1hour
3) Keep rotating through the two exercises in part 1 for the 12 minutes, having about a min rest in between sets.
4) have fun with it and tag us if you do the workout!
