“In 2019, the Mandurah Mustangs All Abilities AFL team was born. What began as a dream of inclusion has grown into a powerful movement, proving that football is for everyone. This film celebrates their journey, their triumphs on and off the field, and their 2025 season - showing the world that ability comes in many forms, but passion unites us all”
Local Filmmaker Jaron Herren has been quietly working on his first Feature Length Documentary: The Mustangs which celebrated its World Premier on Saturday afternoon at the WA Made Film Festival.

💜 Epilepsy Awareness Month – March (Make March Purple)
March is Epilepsy Awareness Month, and this year the aim is to Make March Purple! This is a national initiative to raise awareness, reduce stigma and support the 270,000 Australians whose lives are impacted by epilepsy. 💫
The 2026 theme is “Muck Up for Epilepsy”, encouraging people to step outside their comfort zones, get a little messy, and stand in solidarity with those whose lives are mucked up by the challenges of epilepsy. 💜
Throughout March you can:
✨ Wear purple to show your support
✨ Take on a Purple Challenge or Muck Up activity
✨ Share your photos and stories with
✨ Raise funds for epilepsy support services, education and research

🌍 Zero Discrimination Day – 1 March
Today we recognise Zero Discrimination Day — a reminder that everyone deserves dignity, respect and equal opportunity.
At Midway, inclusion isn’t a statement. It’s a daily commitment. We work to remove barriers, create opportunity, and ensure people living with disability feel valued, heard and supported to live the life they choose.
Discrimination has no place in our community.
Belonging does.
Because when everyone is included, everyone benefits. 💙

We have recently celebrated the official opening of Midway’s newest Supported Independent Living units right here in the Peel Region.
This isn’t just about bricks and mortar. It is about creating real homes. Spaces designed with purpose. Places where people can live independently, feel safe, and stay connected to their community.
These new units reflect our ongoing commitment to investing in the Peel region and ensuring people living with disability have access to high-quality, fit-for-purpose accommodation close to shops, transport, services and the heart of the community.
It was wonderful to mark the occasion alongside local representatives, community partners and members of our Midway family. Moments like this remind us what’s possible when vision, commitment and community come together.
We’re incredibly proud of what this development represents:
✔ Greater choice
✔ Greater independence
✔ Stronger community connections
✔ A positive future for the disability sector
Mandurah, we’re proud to keep growing with you. 💙

Feel Good Feb 💛
Act Belong Commit are encouraging us to all start a ripple effect this Feb with little acts that make a big difference.
Say hello to a neighbour. Make a colleague a cuppa. Leave a surprise note. Take a breather. Let it go. Do something that makes you smile.
Small moments of kindness – for others and for yourself – can create a chain reaction of feel-good energy 💫
There’s a lot happening in the world right now and we don’t always know what people are going through, so let’s make Feel Good Feb a month of lifting each other up and supporting everyone’s mental health and wellbeing. 🌿
