Save the Date: May 2nd - 3rd
We want to extend an opportunity, following our sessions, to experience a small Kids Collective Family Camp locally.

Play is powerful. Each Kids Collective session runs for 3 hours, providing the predictability of a consistent venue, dedicated staff team and a familiar rhythm.
Collaborative play is at the forefront of planned activities, whilst ensuring there is enough choice and flexibility for kids to have fun. Kids Collective offers children a chance to play, explore and connect with peers in a fun, supportive, and natural environment. Sessions are designed to boost confidence, encourage social connection, and let every child thrive through the joy of play.

Do you have a child that has NDIS funding but does not have access to “core” funding’? Do you have a child that is 5yrs - 10yrs old?

Where: Melbourne Outer East - TBC
When: Tuesday April 14th,
Wednesday April 15
Thursday April 16
Friday April 17
Times: 5yrs-7yrs: 10am-1pm
8yrs-10yrs: 1.15pm-4.15pm
Cost: $20 total

To our Community,

We recognise that the current increase in fuel costs, along with fuel shortages, is placing added pressure on both families and staff. Please consider whether any adjustments to support or scheduling could help reduce overall travel where possible.

Some options to consider:

Activities
Where shifts include outings or activities, consider whether these are necessary or if they can be kept local.

Public transport
Where appropriate, this may be a suitable alternative. Coordinators are available to support discussions about incorporating public transport into supports.

Combining trips
Planning ahead to complete multiple tasks in one trip can help minimise travel.
We understand that rising costs affect everyone differently, and much of this is outside of our control.

If you have any ideas or would like to discuss options further, please feel free to speak with your coordinator.

Is school attendance a challenge for your child or young person?

At Interchange Outer East, we understand that if they could attend, they would. We recognise the significant impact that school can’t can have on individuals and their families, and the complexities that sit behind it.

We’re seeking to better understand these experiences — what’s working, what isn’t, and what meaningful support could look like moving forward.

If you’re open to sharing your insights or having a conversation, we’d value your input.
