YogaSol & Sol Therapies A place where the community can come together to improve health mobility and reduce pain. Welcome to our Community. Young or old, we have something for you.

Here at Yoga Sol you can find a class to suit each member of your family. Whether you are an advanced Yogi or a beginner, you like to sweat or take it easy. You don't even need to participate in yoga. We host many workshops and community family friendly events. If you are needing relaxation, we have two massage rooms if you're in need of remedial or relaxation massage which you can finish off with a delightful Monsoon shower for added relaxation. We also have two chillout spaces with kitchen facilities to make a cuppa and just rest in a quite friendly space. Swing in the hammock or laze in the sun while catching up with friends or quietly contemplating. We run annual yoga retreats in the majestic Nepal, Teacher Training in both Sound Therapy and Yoga as well as post graduate massage short courses. Please call with any questions or you can book in for a massage or yoga class via our website.

The Buddhist practice of sand mandalas is a wonderful practice to demonstrate the meaning of non-attachment.

The incredible intricacies of the mandala are recreated using coloured sand.
Many monks take weeks or months to recreate a mandala similar to this one.

Only to blow or sweep it away upon completion.

Today imagine facing each task without attachment.

Imagine the clean washing being folded and ready to put away and then spilling tea on them.

Imagine finishing the lawn for the postie bike to tear it up as it delivers mail.

Imagine sweeping the floor and the dog comes in from a muddy walk.

Imagine all this without irritation or disappointment.

Only when we are able to complete each task without attachment to the result can we be free from suffering.

Challenge to bring a little more peace into your life.

You know that feeling as you are gently guided out of Shavasana?

A soft landing back into the body often by the facilitator guiding you back to your breath.

Followed by softly opening your eyes while keeping the gaze soft.

You then often find the facilitator then guides you to introduce soft small movements in this body.

I often like to guide the feeling of moving through water so you are more conscious of the atmospheric pressure around you and hopefully become more aware of how your movements can become a for of meditation.

We then usually have a big full body stretch and bring the knees to the chest to massage the back and wake up the spine and senses.

Before sitting up and reconnecting to the room with alert active engagement.

My challenge to you,

Is to wake up each morning like you are waking from Shavasana.

Softly and with intention.
Same breath, same soft mindful movements moving into more intentional movements.

If you are able to wake without the alarm please try. Maybe that means sleeping with the curtains open to let the sun in, or the window open to allow the bird song to wake you.

This small change in your morning routine can make such a difference to your day.

Once you have mastered this practice, try introducing this concept into the rest of the day.
Each transition becoming soft and intentional.

Leaving the home ‘moving through water’

Arriving at work. Becoming mindful and intentional with your movements and interactions.

Having lunch.

Each transition through your day treat as though you are coming out of Shavasana.
