Precision and intentionality in asana are valuable.
Yet the field of open possibility that leads toward self-revelation far out-merits technical effort alone.

My mind is very skilled at narrowing the field of attention.
Lately, I’ve been reminded how daily discernment around where attention rests is one of the most powerful catalysts along the path.

This week, we worked with small micro-experiments as a doorway to remembering.

Remembering what this practice is in service of.
Loosening attachment to the “perfect” bow.
And continuing to yield—openly—to the feedback of the target.

From witness to witHness.

Because we are made of many living parts that crave to be met with the light of awareness.
Genuinely and intimately.
Not just seen, but to be met, heard and danced with.

It is in this state, in the openness, where the interconnectedness of everything has the potential to reveal itself.

Instead of negation or contraction, we cultivate a body state that can hold and process all dualities of this thing called life. As boundaries soften, the heart-intelligence step forward.

Last week, as some important souls in my life gathered around a table to celebrate my birthday, a dear friend asked me to reflect on three things that I’m proud of from the year that has been.

The third ‘thing’ that revealed itself was the realisation that this year I’ve been a lot kinder to myself.

Amongst the challenges, the failures, the rejections and the doubts I’ve allowed myself to access more self-kindness, and for that I’m proud.

I’m human. I fluctuate. But as I’ve sat with this, I’ve really come to terms with how impactful this has been for me. There’s been many dances around the sun with my inner critic in the hot seat, but I’m feeling progressively more excited about self-kindness taking over the reins, as the hottest new pilot in town!

About last night!

Feeling SO grateful to have had the opportunity to guide practices yesterday whilst being serenaded by the stunningly talented , my ❤️ is FULL.

Yesterday we came together to explore and embody the concept of befriending breath, and my heart is overflowing from the experience!

It was incredibly moving to witness people be SO open to soaking themselves in some of the mystery that’s pointed to within ancient texts like the Vijnana Bhairava - and come to meet the wisdom through the portal of their own bodily experience.

Thank you for your vulnerability, curiosity, willingness to experiment and trust. It was a privilege and such a source of inspiration as I sensed the dance between aliveness and awareness unfold throughout the afternoon and listened to all your reflections!

It felt like just the beginning.
