Have an injury flare? Here’s the blueprint on how to get back on track quick 👇

1️⃣ Acceptance

There’s no way around it, it’s happened. It’ll be sore, your routine and load capacity might change for a while. But no blame, no guilt, you can control almost every other element of your journey!

2️⃣ Optimism

It won’t last forever. This is a chance to learn more about your current capacity, deload, and focus on things like mobility + rehab work. You’ll be back at it again soon. Trust the process!! 🙏🏽

3️⃣ Sleep

Beyond a superpower 💤
Sleep helps accelerate that anti-inflammatory phase, boosts your mood, and keeps your nutrition on track. If there’s one thing you do - fixate on this during flares!

4️⃣ Rest (in the right way..)

So squats, deadlifts, or running hurt right now… there’s plenty more fish in the sea 🐟
(Fish = activities in this scenario)
Take a few rest days if you are sore of course but becoming a couch potato won’t help. Keep moving in ways that feel good, not sore. Your brain and body will thank you 🧘🏽‍♀️

5️⃣ Reintroducing

Pain settling? Confidence building? Woohoo 👏
Take the load down and move with intention. Do what feels good, not what feels sore. Fear has a funny way of following us about after injury but having your physio guide you here makes all the difference 🤝

This Sunday, loose the excuses & plan your rehab/exercise weekly routine so you have no other option but to succeed 🔥🚀

Week 4 into rehab & this hip is finally getting the memo 💃🏽 Still getting a few uncomfortable clicks & the occasional ache in bed at night but super manageable..

Ran around a tennis court with zero pain after.. I couldn’t walk for 30mins 4 weeks ago without being sore the rest of the day so this is HUGE 🎾

There are days I want to stay in bed longer or go straight home after work but rehab is the main event right now & I’m turning this b*tch of an injury into a success story 😏

Hiking Wilson’s Prom next week & I will NOT miss a single session before then 🙅🏽‍♀️

This weeks focus is:
1️⃣ Glute & hamstring building
2️⃣ Hip flexion & Pivoting
3️⃣ Bed 30mins earlier
