This ANZAC Day, we remember a remarkable chapter in our history.

Sixty years ago, four St Vincent’s Civilian Medical/Surgical Teams volunteered to serve in Vietnam during a pivotal time in Australia’s involvement in the war.

Based in Long Xuyen in the Mekong Delta, these teams provided critical care to patients with traumatic injuries and endemic conditions, while also training local staff and improving medical facilities in incredibly challenging circumstances.

Their courage, compassion and commitment to care continues to inspire us today.

We honour their service, now recognised with a commemorative plaque at the Australian War Memorial.

Celebrating Easter across St Vincent’s Private Melbourne.

Our teams came together to mark the occasion, sharing Easter reflections and enjoying hot cross buns across the hospitals. We even had a surprise visit from the Easter Bunny himself!

These small moments of connection and care are a reminder of the compassion that sits at the heart of everything we do.
