Melbourne Shiatsu

Melbourne Shiatsu Melbourne based Shiatsu and Oriental Therapies practitioner. SHIATSU
The definition of shiatsu is finger pressure. This is what shiatsu is to me.

In using shiatsu on particular parts of the body, following the meridian system and pressure points, the practitioner aims to aid the body in rediscovering its natural energetic flow. My intention is solely based on benefiting the health of my clients in every session. Other Modalities used:

GUA SHA
Gua Sha (scraping or spooning): A technique where a tool such as a spoon or coin is used to scrape the skin after it has been applied. This technique may leave discoloration and/or bruising on the treated area; this is normal and may last over a week. ACUPRESSURE
Acupressure is similar to acupuncture only using finger pressure, as apposed to needles, on pressure point along the body. For more information please visit:

Erica Ferguson she / her
AKA @ kinesiologywitherica

Integrative Holistic Health Therapist
Kinesiologist
Spiritual Hawaiian Lomilomi Practitioner

I work with people around the world, both in person and online, offering a sacred and safe space to take off their armour and see the strength in their vulnerability.

I spent most of my life with an impenetrable shell and an egoic hunger to be seen as independent. This worked for me until I started to notice that the walls around my heart were stopping the flow of love from coming in and out of my heart. After years of talk therapy, I found kinesiology which was a modality that gently but fiercely got past my impenetrable armouring. It was a mode of communication that helped me to find the words to articulate what I was feeling and got right into the woundings that I was subconsciously keeping hidden. I believe there is a balance of being protective but not so rigid that we cut off the flow and goodness of life. I help those who are wanting to experience the liberation, freedom and fierceness of living life without layered and heavy armouring. You are your most protected and powerful self when you follow the truth of your heart.

As an integrated holistic health therapist, I intentionally and respectfully use the wisdom of multiple modalities in my practice to invite you to live honourably and fiercely by the beat of your own heat.

In our work together, I connect with the essence of your soul, sometimes feeling your emotions and pain alive within my own being. This creates an intimate container where you can safely remove your protective armour, feel seen and heal at your core. I work beyond the realms of logic so I invite you to meet me half way and bring an open mind. The magic of this medicine begins outside of our logical minds and linear understandings.

Daniel (Dan) Frankel (He/Him) – Manual Therapy Practitioner

Dan Frankel is a dedicated and highly skilled manual therapy practitioner with over 15 years of experience and nearly 15,000 hours of hands-on practice. Known for his compassionate approach, Dan specializes in creating client-centered, process-oriented sessions that promote healing, self-discovery, and personal growth.

Dan’s journey into bodywork began in 2004 when he studied Zen Shiatsu at the Australian Shiatsu College (ASC) in Collingwood. After a brief hiatus working in aged and disability care, he rediscovered his passion for bodywork through holistic embodiment practices. In 2008, Dan began the intensive two-year Diploma at ASC, which he completed in 2010, laying the foundation for his professional practice.

Professional Development and Expertise

Dan’s commitment to lifelong learning has led him to study a range of modalities and techniques, including:

Dr. Manaka Protocols (2011) with Paul Movsessian.

Trauma Studies with The Science of Touch and Jessica Maguire's Vagus Nerve Intensive Program.

Lomilomi Practitioner Training (2019) with Kumu Charlie Snow, becoming one of Australia's senior practitioners and certified teachers of this lineage.

Urban Ta**ra (2020) with Barbara Carrellas.

Wheel of Consent Professional Training (2022), refining his approach to communication and client-led care.

Pranayama Teacher Training (2023) with Uma of Breath of the Heart Yoga (BOTH).

Dynamic Myofascial Manipulation (2024) with Brad from LionsBreath Wellness.

Clinical Practice and Philosophy

Dan launched his clinical career in 2010, practicing at the Japanese Bath House while managing his private clinic, "Shiatsu Dan," at the Abbotsford Convent and Four Sessions Wellness Centre. In 2013, he founded Melbourne Shiatsu in Fitzroy (Ngargo, Naarm), where he continues as owner, manager, and lead therapist. From 2018 to 2022, Dan also managed and practiced at Acufitz, a community acupuncture and meridian massage clinic.

Dan’s approach is rooted in finding each client’s unique emotional language, holding a non-judgmental space, and fostering deep connection. His sessions focus on releasing old patterns, completing unresolved internal sequences, and addressing the root causes of concerns. By integrating his training in the Wheel of Consent, Dan prioritizes clear communication and a loving, intuitive presence, helping clients explore their authentic needs without shame or stigma.

Core Beliefs and Impact

At the heart of Dan’s practice is the belief that healing begins when people are seen for who they truly are. Whether facilitating cathartic emotional releases, guiding clients through embodied sensory expressions, or simply co-regulating in a shared space, Dan brings a deep sense of empathy and care to every session.

Dan welcomes clients from all walks of life, tailoring his work to support their individual paths toward well-being, resilience, and personal transformation.
