If growing your family is on your vision board for 2026, a pre-pregnancy (preconception) appointment is one of the best first steps you can take 🤍

A pre-pregnancy appointment is different for everyone but may include:

* Full health assessment including supplements
* Assessment of ovarian reserve and function
* Assessment of fallopian tube function
* Blood tests for general and specific pregnancy health
* Assessment of male s***m function

Specialist Obstetrician & Gynaecologist

Dr Cade is a specialist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist in private practice at St Vincent’s Private Hospital and Epworth Freemasons Private Hospital, in Melbourne.

His practice focuses on three main services (1). Pre-pregnancy & fertility care, (2) Obstetric care, and (3) Gynaecological care.

Dr Cade also has a public appointment at the Royal Women’s Hospital and is Head of the Diabetes Unit there.

Dr Cade specialises in gestational diabetes, specifically the management of those with pre-existing diabetes or who have had gestational diabetes in a previous pregnancy. He received the Luke Proposch Perinatal Research Scholarship for his work in the management of gestational diabetes and has submitted his doctoral thesis on this topic.
