With heavy hearts, we share the news of the passing of Dr Lynne Cade, the beloved mother of Dr Tom.

For those who did not have the privilege of knowing Lynne, she was truly an extraordinary woman.

A brilliant and highly respected anaesthetist, a devoted animal lover (especially dogs), an early-morning exercise enthusiast, a culinary extraordinaire, and someone whose efficiency was second to none.

Above all else, Lynne was a devoted wife and mother — a constant source of strength, love, and wisdom. Her family was her universe, and she was theirs.

We extend our sincere thanks to our wonderful patients for their kindness, support, and patience during this difficult week.

Lynne will be deeply missed. May she rest in peace, and may her memory forever be a blessing.

The funeral will be held at Holy Trinity Church, Kew, tomorrow (Tuesday 10th) at 10:30am. 💔🕊️

Specialist Obstetrician & Gynaecologist

Dr Cade is a specialist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist in private practice at St Vincent’s Private Hospital and Epworth Freemasons Private Hospital, in Melbourne.

His practice focuses on three main services (1). Pre-pregnancy & fertility care, (2) Obstetric care, and (3) Gynaecological care.

Dr Cade also has a public appointment at the Royal Women’s Hospital and is Head of the Diabetes Unit there.

Dr Cade specialises in gestational diabetes, specifically the management of those with pre-existing diabetes or who have had gestational diabetes in a previous pregnancy. He received the Luke Proposch Perinatal Research Scholarship for his work in the management of gestational diabetes and has submitted his doctoral thesis on this topic.
