“Today, I’ll light you,” said the match.

The candle, nervous, replied:
“No! If you light me, I’ll burn out. My days will be numbered…”

The match paused for a moment and then asked:
“Do you really want to spend your whole life like this? Cold, untouched… without ever shining?”

The candle whispered:
“But being lit will hurt… it will wear me down.”

The match nodded.
“Yes, it will hurt. And yes, it will consume you. But that’s why we’re here. I was made to spark, and you were made to give light. My flame may be small, but if I pass it to you, I’ll have fulfilled my purpose.”

The candle looked at the match, moved. And just as the match’s flame was about to die out, it whispered:
“Please… light me.”

And in that instant, a new flame was born—bright, beautiful, filling the space with warmth. The candle finally understood: its true worth was never in staying untouched, but in shining.

✨ Sometimes being the light hurts. But it transforms everything around you.
✨ Sometimes giving your best means pouring yourself out, even when it costs you a piece of your soul.

Because we were made to shine. To touch other lives. To make the world a little less dark.

Remember this:
“Calm seas never made strong sailors. And untouched hearts rarely give warmth.”

💛 So shine. And if it bothers someone? Let them close their eyes.
