My name is Lauren Ferris and I feel privileged to say that love my job. I've had the pleasure of working in the health and fitness industry for the past 15 years and helping people change their lives has been such a rewarding experience. Whether that is through face-to-face coaching or online coaching anywhere in the world. I’m passionate and committed to improving the health and wellbeing of any

individual from any walk of life. I am very determined and have a proven track record with clients who have achieved remarkable results e.g. 50kg weight loss. I believe in balance. I'm a Mum of 2 young boys currently aged 1 and 3 years old. I drink wine, I eat chocolate, I love pasta. I love exercising, eating, camping and the sun. However, I do work hard to keep myself and my clients in shape because I firmly believe that it is important to practice what I preach and that we can all have balance in our lives if we put in the hard yards to achieve our goals. Personal/Online training can be fun! I'm the type of person who gets bored easily so I'm constantly coming up with new and exciting ways to challenge the body! I love to create new and exciting ideas in exercise programs, making it fun, enjoyable and rewarding for you. Together we can achieve the body and wellbeing you deserve. Online I provide 12-week programs that help time poor mums/women get back into shape and feel more energetic without having to sacrifice what they love. These programs are tailored specifically to their unique circumstances and include nutrition guidance, exercise programming and weekly accountability check ins plus a fortnightly accountability phone call with me. I also hold sessions at my own boutique PT studio in Innaloo, Perth. I mostly focus on individual one on one personal training, but I also take small group sessions for 3-6 people. If you have ever been curious about personal training and are currently stuck in a rut, stop thinking about it and just give it a try. What have you got to lose? I have had the pleasure of training this amazing couple Lucy and Allan for the past 6-7 months. Can you just take a moment to look closely at these photos and appreciate the changes that have occurred due to their persistence and hard work. They train with me twice a week as a duo and what a laugh it has been. Always willing to give everything a go and always taking the p**s out of each other. “It’s not a competition love” oh yes it is. It hasn’t all been easy, there has been fighting, injuries, sickness and work commitments but through it all they have soldiered on and got the results that they deserve. The journey is not over yet, it is only beginning. Some of the positive changes that have happened are….

✅Lucy has lost 30kg
✅Allen has lost 10kg
✅Lucy was never able to lunge because of knee pain and now she can with weights
✅Allan also couldn’t lunge due to an ankle injury but has now overcome that
✅They are increasing their muscle mass monthly
✅Their strength has doubled and in same cases tripled
✅They now can walk up and down the Whitfords nodes stairs weekly
✅ They have completely changed the way they eat. More protein, more fibre, less sugar, less alcohol but still enjoy a fun social life
✅ Their cardiovascular fitness is on another level compared to the start - the assault bike is no longer making them feel 🤢 (maybe sometimes)
✅They have got their life back and feel many years younger than what they did in January!

I’m very excited because I have just completed a course in training Menopausal / Perimenopausal women and women 50+. My long term goal is to be able to help women in this phase of life continue to live a happy, healthy and fit life through safe exercise and education.

10-20 years ago no one talked about Menopause. Women who had symptoms because of perimenopause and menopause were considered “whingeing women” and often misdiagnosed with anxiety or depression. I’m joining the crew of humans who want to help raise awareness and continue to help women going through this phase in their life. It WILL happen to all of us. 5 month Transformation!

I said to watch this space and here we are! I’ve been so excited to put up these photos of Lucy!

In less than 5 months Lucy has changed her life. She had some big goals for her 50th birthday when she met me at the end of January. In that time she has …

⭐️lost 25kg on the scales
⭐️lost 13% of her bodyfat
⭐️Could never lunge due to sore knees and now can
⭐️Has improved her fitness and strength incredibly
⭐️Changed her eating habits for life - high protein, good quality carbs, low fat, and cut the crap
⭐️Trained PT 2x45min session w Husband Allan

Watch out for this amazing Mama!!!

Loz started training with me in August last year after having her 3rd baby! She decided to up her game in the last 10 weeks and in that time she lost 7cm from her waist and lost over 5% of her bodyfat showing more muscle definition in her body! She is feeling fantastic and plans to keep going!

How did she do it? Well she is a pure example of how you can still make it happen while working and being a mum of 3 young kids. She trains 2x per week in my classes, goes for coast walks and sometimes does an extra sesh at home. She loosely followed the 80/20 rule. 80% of the time cut out processed food, refined sugars, snacks like choc, lollies, bickies, softies, caffeine.
She followed my good friend teachings (purchased her Get on Track program and joined her happy healthy nutrition club) to help take the thinking out of cooking. Aiming to hit her macros of protein, carbs and good fats in each meal and snack.
SHE MADE TIME. She made shopping, cooking and meal planning a priority.

Combining nutrition and exercise and making the time is what really gets you results! This mama is organized!

⭐️ lost 12kg on the scales
⭐️ lost 6% of her body fat
⭐️ increased her fitness level (actually enjoys cardio)

How has she done it? She trains twice a week with me doing strength and fitness focused sessions. She is also doing 2 long walks per week. She has completely changed her diet to a high protein focus, more Whole Foods, and still is allowed to treat herself on a weekly basis rather than completely restricting (which in my opinion never works). She’s avoiding having foods in her cupboards that would normally trigger binge eating. She is determined, never complains and has a positive attitude in every session and is an absolute delight to train. Exercise is no longer a chore. She can’t wait to come to the gym! Very proud of your efforts and sticking to your guns Lucy, even with your mum visiting Perth for 3 weeks thrown in the mix. Keep up the good work. Watch this space…

What Amazing results Tara has achieved in 12 weeks!

Tara started training with me 4months after her baby boy was born to get back into pre pregnancy shape. 12 weeks of training later here is what she achieved. She trains twice a week with me for 45mins each session, cleaned up her diet while being mindful the right types of foods to consume safely while breast feeding, did a 28 day detox within that time of limiting caffeine, sugar and has had zero alcohol the whole time. She meal prepped and was organized with food/training planning for the week. Even when she had sleepless nights with a new born she still turned up, was dedicated and worked really hard. We worked on lots of strength training while she did lots of walking and jogging in between. Go mama! Super proud of you. What an inspo. The first 4 photos are before and after of 12 weeks. Wow what a crazy month we have had!

Finally moved in to our home in Duncraig and 90% unpacked. My studio is functional but still has a few Reno’s that we need to complete in the next couple of months.

Thanks for all the help from Fox removals, Mum and Colin for helping unpack, to friends who minded our boys and stored our gear. And to everyone who has popped around to celebrate with us. But especially to my husband who basically set up my entire gym in 3 days! It has been such a hectic time with 2 little ones. But I’m proud that we got it done and now I am SO ready for some routine and normality. My own fitness and health has totally gone out the window so I’m looking forward to running around some new streets and getting my own strength training program under way.

We love our new home. So much more space. Far better for entertaining which we really missed living in Innaloo. And we have met the majority of the Neighbours who are all so lovely - even got given a batch of cookies!!! Living on a culdesac is the BEST! Kids running everywhere and no traffic!

Looking forward to the next chapter in our lives and also meeting a new bunch of locals who will be coming to me for some PT sessions as of this week!

Eat more Whole Foods & Less Processed Foods!

What are Whole Foods exactly?

Foods that are as close as possible to their origins

Here are some examples

✅ You can recognize what they used to be. Whole grains look like whole grains, like seeds from a plant. Fresh fruit that looks the same as what it would from a tree.

✅ They don’t come in any packaging. Other then what’s necessary to keep them from leaking or rolling around.

✅ They don’t have ingredient labels. There are some exceptions such as plain dairy products but they should be minimal and straight forward.

✅ They take the minimum number of steps (processing) to get to you. You should be able to see that this food didn’t have to under go too much manipulation to get to your plate.

✅ They typically go bad fairly quickly. Dried beans, extra virgin olive oil, nuts, and beef jerky might be exceptions but most Whole Foods perish rapidly.

Processed foods

☹️ You generally can’t recognize what they used to be. Juice doesn’t look like fruit. Bread doesn’t look like seeds.

☹️ They come in packages, bags and boxes. You probably buy them from the inner aisles of supermarkets over the outer aisles.

☹️ They have lots of ingredients on their food labels. Usually high levels of sugar or salt or something that came from a lab that you don’t understand.

☹️They take many steps to get to you. Ask yourself what had to happen to this whole grain seed to turn it into rainbow coloured cereal.

☹️They will keep for a long time. Processed foods are designed to stay “fresh” on a shelf for weeks, months. Even years.

We all eat some processed foods. And that’s ok. But there are far more benefits to eating MORE Whole Foods such as value for money, quality, health enhancements & good old natures medicine. Rather then restricting all processed foods, consider ADDING more Whole Foods. Life is about balance! How can you look after your body a little more today?

My why

I have always been fairly consistent going to the gym and eating a relatively healthy however I was finding it really hard to tone and what would often happen was I’d injure my neck or suffer back pain and it would prevent me from training.
I have completed many 8 wk challenges (mainly The Lauren Simpson App) but found it didn’t make too much of a difference even tho I was putting in all the effort. Just having a fitness app program wasn’t enough.
Loz Ferris designed a strength training program that was specific to my body needs and functionality. By the end of the 12 wks my form, strength and mobility had improved dramatically and I completed with no pain (apart from some DOMS!)
Knowing my macros and calorie intake was key. Finding that balance made a huge difference to my training and results. I tracked my food almost everyday this helped me stay consistent which was important for me to stay mindful of every I was putting in my mouth. I have a tendency to eat without thought sometimes and have a partner who can eat whatever he likes which is not fair. Having regular check ins Lauren helped me to cut out some of those bad habits and provided me with alternate options. I also suffer from IBS which is not fun so eating the right foods is essential for me.
Don’t forget your why and remind yourself what you are capable of achieving if you put your mind to it.
