With great sadness we inform of the passing of Dr Sat Paul Sethi, aged 81, who passed away on 12 February 2026, after a long struggle with illness.
Born in India, Dr Sethi began his academic career as a lecturer at Hansraj College, University of Delhi. In 1976, he left India to pursue further studies in Canada, where he completed a PhD in Organic Chemistry. Following his doctoral studies, he moved to Australia to take up a Senior Fellow position at the Research School of Chemistry at the Australian National University. He subsequently worked at the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) and later joined the Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA), until his retirement.
Dr Sethi was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather with a good sense of humour.
The family sincerely thanks everyone for their thoughts, prayers, and support during this difficult time.
Funeral details will be shared once arrangements have been finalised.
