Here’s lesson 6..
To my younger self, from the current 🤍

Be honest with yourself.

100% you are capable! & I believe you can do anything you put your mind to.

BUT..
it’s not worth sacrificing you health.
It’s not just your health. It’s your mind. Your body. Your time. Your energy. Your passion.

You don’t want to disappoint anyone but you’ll end up feeling like you have when you push yourself too far.

Start putting yourself first.
You do deserve it.
You are worthy & especially worthy of love.

There will be many times people take advantage of your love. You will experience it multiple times. Each time you will learn that you deserve so much more.

Be selective.
Everything has an exchange.
You don’t have to force it.
The ones meant to be will feel natural 🤍

A reflection a day until I turn 30 🌻

Here’s lesson 5..
To my younger self, from the current 🤍

Allow yourself to be curious.

It’s okay to seem like the dumb one.
It’s okay to take long to understand.
It’s okay to keep asking questions when you don’t understand and most importantly it’s okay to keep asking questions when you’re actually curious.

If there’s people that look down on you..
If there’s people that sweeps it under the rug and masks it with, you should know this..

It’s actually kind of a reflection on them.
Maybe they actually don’t know..
Maybe they actually don’t understand..
Maybe they have just roped learnt it and is just repeating it like a robot.

Whatever it may be, it’s not on you. What maters is youre doing your best to understand it in your own way because in the long run, you’re going to be the one trying to explain it to someone else.

So take your time.
If it’s something complex, find mentors that you truly resonate with and have your best interest at heart.

& be cautious of the ones overselling you a product for their own personal gain which isn’t actually in your benefit.

You may learn from experience and it might be the best way but you’ll get there 🤍

Here’s lesson 4..
To my younger self, from the current 🤍

No one is right & no one is wrong.

Everyone has their own perspective..
Everyone has their own truth..
& that truth is often morphed from their own personal experiences and learnt behaviours.

What matters is choosing to keep an open mind. Acknowledge others opinion BUT this doesn’t necessarily mean you have to agree with it.

You can have different opinions..
You can be curious..
You can be discerning..
& you can add to your discernment.

Start accepting that everyone make choices with what they know in that moment..
Nobody definitely doesn’t know any better but what matters is everyone is doing the best they can within their energetic, mental and physical capacity.

The more the body, mind and soul understands this, the easier it becomes to release attachments.
& the more your creativity within yourself will flow 🌿

Here’s lesson 3..
To my younger self, from the current 🤍

Give yourself grace. You’re your own harshest critic.

Naturally.. you are so hard on yourself even when you’re exceeding your own capabilities.

It’s great because you’ve built so much tenacity and grit from it and also it chips away at your inner fire from it.

People will take advantage of it..
Only because you allow it..
People will project loads of their opinion..
You will get confused, conflicted..
Wondering if it’s true and if you had hidden intentions like they said..
You will get gaslit..
Your heart will get broken..
Not in a way you’d ever expect.

& something I absolutely adore and love about myself..

Through all of that heart ache..
You still continue to show up with compassion..
Still continue to show a giving heart..
Became a feeling of comfort and home to many..
Providing a safe space for people to share their inner truths.

For that I’m so proud.

So it’s okay to not know it all..
It’s okay to not do it all..
To not have all the answers..

Because you already have your unique charm..
You already have so much to bring to the table..
You may not see it but the space you choose to hold for others while holding your own is such a gift in itself 🤍

Here’s lesson 2..
To my younger self, from the current 🤍

🛑 Go on a say no saga..

Say no to everything..
Yes you’re going to get MASSIVE FOMO..
& also you’re going to learn so much more about yourself than you ever will saying yes to every single event, filling every 30 minutes on your daily, hourly planner & saying yes to every single work shift cover.

& in return, you’ll have so much more energy for yourself.. to explore the things you’re curious about.. you have money to actually spend on yourself rather than buying the most expensive gift for someone that you barely receive anything in return, heck you don’t even spend that much on yourself!!

So love yourself.. spoil yourself.. invest those funds and use it to build skills, foundations and experiences.

Saying yes has taken away so much more than it has gifted you.

So start cherishing yourself.

You deserve it 🌻

A reflection a day until I turn 30 🌻

Such a wild moment..
As I reflect back on the last 10 years, I notice..
it’s probably been my biggest learning curves that truly cultivated the person I’ve truly loved becoming..

So here’s lesson 1 to my younger self from the current..

Be comfortable being with yourself.

& I mean that without any external stimuli.
With no external influence.
Allow yourself to be with yourself..
Your thoughts.. the stillness.. the surroundings..
Rather than jump to actions, tasks, trying to fill the void. Get real deep and personal with your thoughts. Try to understand as if you were a friend with no judgements, no excuses, just allow yourself to be heard.

Changing state is a great skill to have and also, schedule some time to be real honest with yourself.

Otherwise.. you kind of lose the point of living..

It’s okay. You have time to spare for yourself 🤍
