“A huge thank you to Tehya at K9 Myotherapy! 🙌 Two weeks ago, I wasn’t sure if I’d even be running Link at the Victorian State Trial after he injured himself during a run. Thanks to Tehya’s amazing treatment, he came up a treat – running better than he has in months! 🐾

Link absolutely lit up the ring: 2x first place heats in Master Agility and 1x first place heat in Masters Jumping, qualifying for finals! 🎉 Even in his Top Dog run, he thought bouncing on the bar would make his time quicker 😅, and he still placed Runner-Up in 600 Top Dog Jumping 2025! The boy was on fire! 🔥”

Hair disturbances 🐕🐾

An Indicator of discomfort can present as a change in the dog’s coat. This is called a hair disturbance.

Notice your dogs coat, is there areas that are more dull then others, or is the hair ruffed up in specific areas.

Has the dog always had these coat changes or are they new?

Hair disturbances can indicate tension between muscles and fascia within the dog’s body (myofascial)

This can be a result of tension in the body causing the skin to tighten, pulling the hair in different directions.

Therefore blood flow to the skin bulb in this area can result in impacting the shedding process. Which results in an unhealthy appearance in these areas.

Have a look at your dog and compare before and after photos. Notice key areas such as shoulder, neck, along the spine. What is the direction of the hair, is it healthy or potentially under tension?

Bowen therapy can help reduce hair disturbances.
