2.00pm - 3.00pm (AEDT - NSW, Vic, Tas)
1.30pm - 2.30pm (ACDT - SA)

11.00am - 12.00pm (AWST - WA)

Cost: Free
Where: Online

Format:
They will run similar to a drop-in session.
The format is casual and does not have a lead facilitator who runs things-more just a facilitator who just starts the meeting and provides prompt questions if needed.
They are also able to read out the chat for those who prefer to participate this way.
This is so anyone can do this role in the group (which to start with will be me).
Someone will always be there to talk to for whomever decides to attend.
Intro in chat or out loud (or not)
Discussion starter questions (if required)
Mason will be reading out chat participation.

Looking for a place where you can truly be yourself, connect with neurokin, let your creativity run wild, share laughs, and dive into epic adventures? Our ongoing TTRPG group for neurodivergent adults offers a welcoming, neuro-affirming space, where you can explore and expand the landscapes of possibility.

For late-identified autistic and ADHD adults, finding community can sometimes feel like a formidable quest in itself. That’s why this group isn’t just about the game—it’s about building a space where each person’s unique spark is celebrated. Here, you can explore and enjoy the richness of shared storytelling, knowing you’re surrounded by folks who value the diversity of thought and approach that make neurodivergent people shine.

In every session, we’ll create a world together, where each character and perspective matters. Whether you love crafting stories, solving puzzles, or simply being part of a team, there’s a place for you in the adventure. Playing side by side, you’ll experience the joy of belonging in a space free from expectations to “mask” or conform. Instead, you’ll have room to relax, recharge, and connect with others who share similar journeys.

Imagine exploring fantastical worlds, sharing in both the laughter and the challenges, and knowing you have a community to come back to each session. If you’re ready to be part of a fun, empowering, and neuro-affirming group, come join the adventure with us!

🌿 Welcome Neurokin to 'Embracing the Crone' a safe and nourishing haven for Autistic women & non-binary+ (45+) on this Thursday.

"Dear brave souls, I warmly invite you to come be at the fireside with me and the Dangerous Old Woman and the Power of the Crone. Who is the crone? She is the most dangerous, the most radical, the most revolutionary woman in existence. Whether in fairy tales or in consensual reality, the old one goes where she wants to and she acts as she wishes; she lives as she chooses. And this is all as it should be. And no one can stop her. Nor ought they try."
Clarissa Pinkola Estés (The Power of the Crone: Myths and Stories of the Wise Woman Archetype, 2011)

🌿 Why as late-identified Autistics we embrace 'crone energy'
The Crone is a benevolently powerful archetypal instinct to embrace in oneself. She is battle-scarred, richly wise and deeply committed to knowing and being her true self. She is recognising her own power and has less f@cks to give about conventional ways of being. Connection with her authentic self and finding her own peace and equilibrium are her priorities. She has much to teach, to share but only on her own terms and only with those who are worthy.

🌿 As late-identified Autistic women & non-binary+ we embrace this hard-won power. As survivors of many battles, we gather to share and appreciate each other, to compare scars, to share wisdom to learn from neurokin on the same healing odyssey.
If this resonates for you-we would love to meet you.

🌸One of the unique intersectional experiences that is barely recognised by society or research is that of late-in-life identification-Autistic Elders. After a life time, to discover this core and essential understanding of yourself is truly a unique experience that requires ‘safe-enough’ spaces with neurokin for sharing and support.

🌸At Neurokindred we run an online peer support group and an online discussion group specifically for Autistic Elders.

This week is:

🌸We are also always collating ‘The Autistic Elders Anthology’ -a ‘memory chest’ style collection of reflections, poetry, commentary & other wordings & art that illustrate the different and unique experiences of Autistics who discover their neurodivergence later in life.

🌸We are committed to amplifying the voices of Autistic Elders and their experiences-please contact us if you would like to submit a piece.

*As the recipients of the NDIA Peer Support and Capacity Building Grant, Neurokindred is excited to announce that all peer support groups will now be offered free of charge.

Got questions or a project in mind and want some ideas?
Excited about a new build project and want to share to an appreciative audience?

Welcome Neurokin to the Autistic Counsellors & Psychotherapists Peer Support Group.

As professionals in the counselling and psychotherapy space we have dedicated ourselves to the healing and support of humanity as well as to the inner work and practice necessary to hold space for others. Through our varied and creative modalities and theories, we aim to ‘bandage the soul’ and empower the individual to continue on their journey in new and positive ways that enhance their quality of life.

Being Autistic in this profession to me has had a mixture of responses, with the negative primarily due to lack of knowledge or old stereotypical understandings. I believe being Autistic makes me a better counsellor. I have ‘studied people’ for years wondering what makes them tick, predicting, revising and predicting all over again.

I also know that many spaces in our profession are not yet safe for disclosure and that many of us do not want to ‘shoot ourselves in the foot’ by revealing our neurodivergence. Hence, this confidential space – a safe little clutch where you can come as you are cameras off, pseudonym, chat only or as seen as you wish to be.

Our goal is to create a supportive community of shared experience and understanding-a place to ask fellow neurokin about their Autistic experience in any area of their life as well as particular challenges in our practice and field. This is not peer supervision but a very deliberate attempt to nurture community and mutual support for our fellow Autistic helpers.

We are so needed in this space, our unique perspectives, our divergent understanding and our capacity to attune are such strengths to support neurodivergent and neurotypical alike. But helpers need a safe space too. A space to be supported and to unmask, to see and hear their experience reflected in others-I hope you’ll join us.
