This year we’ve shared wins, setbacks, breakthroughs, deep sighs, laughs, and plenty of those β€œeverything hurts and I don’t know why” moments. And honestly, I’ve loved all of it.

A lot of clients ask me: β€œWhat does the lymphatic system actually do?” πŸ’­

The short answer: it’s one of the body’s most underrated systems. It’s a clean-up crew, defence team, and transport network all in one.

πŸ’§ It prevents swelling by draining excess fluid.
πŸ›‘οΈ It supports your immune system by filtering out pathogens.

But at its core, true lymphatic work is 𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐭π₯𝐞, 𝐜𝐚π₯𝐦𝐒𝐧𝐠, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐧𝐨𝐧-𝐒𝐧𝐯𝐚𝐬𝐒𝐯𝐞.

The lymphatic system sits just beneath the skin, and it responds best to π’π’Šπ’ˆπ’‰π’•, π’“π’‰π’šπ’•π’‰π’Žπ’Šπ’„ 𝒕𝒐𝒖𝒄𝒉.
This allows fluid to move freely without triggering the body’s stress response.

It’s not about pressure or β€œpushing things out.”
It’s about supporting flow, in the most soothing, respectful way possible.

Lymphatic massage isn’t meant to hurt.
In fact, its power lies in its softness.

When done with intention and anatomical care, it leaves you feeling lighter, clearer, and deeply regulated.

This might seem like a strange thing to post about, but hear me out.

As a remedial massage therapist, I work closely with the body’s soft tissue and lymphatic system every day. And one thing I’ve learned over time? The little things we wear (and don’t even think about) can have a big impact on how our bodies feel and function.

Your lymphatic system is a major part of your immune and detox pathways. It helps clear waste, reduce swelling, and regulate inflammation. But it doesn’t have a pump. It relies on 𝐦𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭, π›π«πžπšπ­π‘ 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐟π₯𝐨𝐰 to keep things circulating.

Tight underwear, especially around the waist and groin, can compress major lymph nodes and slow this natural drainage process.

Over time, that can lead to:
β€’ Fluid retention or bloating
β€’ Heaviness in the legs
β€’ Skin flare-ups
β€’ Sluggish energy
β€’ Increased tension or discomfort

✨ Your body doesn’t need restriction. It needs permission to soften, move, and clear.

Massage has been part of my life since I was very young. It was one of the few times I felt truly safe β€” where I could quiet my thoughts and just 𝒃𝒆 in my body. As a sensitive child who carried a lot of emotion and energy, those moments gave me space to breathe.

As I got older, massage became something I shared with my mum. In my teenage years, getting massages together was something I genuinely came to love. It was our way of connecting, slowing down, and caring for ourselves. It planted a seed that later grew into something much deeper.

Becoming a therapist showed me how personal and powerful this work truly is. I see people in their most vulnerable moments β€” often in ways they wouldn’t even share with close friends or family. And I hold that with care and deep respect.

I can’t put into words how much I love and appreciate my clients. I care so deeply for every person who walks through my door. No matter your story, you are welcome here β€” just as you are.

Starting this business taught me that when you lead with honesty and heart, your people will find you. And they have. Every person who walks through my door feels like someone I’m meant to meet and I’m so grateful for the trust and time you share with me.

β€’ I love reading (mostly fantasy β€” hello dragons and dramatic fae love stories) though I’m a slow reader and I’ve made peace with it… mostly.
β€’ I have a beautiful Iggy puppy named Roman. He’s full of sass and currently goes to work with my husband (he’s not quite ready for spa vibes yet).
β€’ I’m also a Pilates instructor β€” I teach both mat and reformer, and I love helping people feel strong and connected in their bodies.
β€’ I’m a perfectionist and an over-thinker… and I have a complicated love/hate relationship with that knowledge.
β€’ I’m an ambivert who definitely leans introvert.
β€’ I’m a very logical, practical person (especially as a therapist) β€” but I’m not afraid to dive into the woo-woo side of things too πŸ˜‚
