A lovely way to wrap up National Volunteer Week celebrating our beautiful Pink Ladies at Forster Private Hospital. 🩷🩷🩷

Our Pink Ladies make a valued contribution to our hospital every day with their kindness and caring services, volunteering their time to bring a smile to our patients during their stay with us. Be it a refresh of flowers, a warm cuppa or a new magazine to read or just a friendly chat, they are kind, reliable and a welcomed addition to our wards on daily basis. 🩷

Each year they make generous donations to our facility so that our patients and staff have the best possible resources. We’d like to encourage you to take a moment to thank a PINK LADY when you see them going about their day attending to the little things that matter to our patients and their families. 🩷

🔶🔶This week is National Palliative Care Week. 🔶🔶

Every day in Australia, over 450 people across the age spectrum die of a life-limiting illness. Every one of them could benefit from palliative care – care that can enrich their final days.

We are so fortunate to have the team at Great Lakes Palliative Care Support Services working tirelessly in and for our community. GLPSS is a community based voluntary not for profit group providing funds and support to palliative care patients, their carers and families in the Forster / Tuncurry and surrounding areas.

Just last week our Regional CEO, Natasha Mackey, Director of Clinical Services, Darren Figallo, along with Julie Wilcox of Cape Hawke Community Hospital and Health Association received another generous donation from the GLPSS team.

This week we celebrate and appreciate the amazing work you bring to our patients their families and our entire community.🧡🧡🧡

The results are in...Each year we survey our patients and ask them 'How likely are you to recommend our service to your friends and relatives?' with a rating going from 0 to a maximum 10.

📈 The scores are then combined and given a total 'Net Promoter Score' which can range from -100 (all patients give a score of 0-6) to +100 (all patients give a score of 9-10). An NPS score over 0 is good, +50 is Excellent, above +70 is World Class.

✅ Across 2025 our patients have given us a score of +89, recognition of the World Class Care we provide - Love Your Work to our wonderful healthcare team! ❤
