Full Moon Tarot & Divination

Full Moon Tarot & Divination This page is just my small little space to explore Tarot and divination. My name is Tara and I have been studying and reading the tarot for almost half my life.

I endeavor to provide honest and compassionate readings for anyone who wants to know the truth about their place in this life. I offer affordable, in-depth readings that aren't "charged by the minute" ~ you will get the reading you need not necessarily the reading you may want. While I am honest and ethical, I won't lie and feed you a fairytale ~ that would only serve to hurt you in the end.

Card of the Day ~ Three of Pentacles {Midnight Magic Tarot, created by Sara Richard} This card is represented by the Green Elf Cup, the colour from this mushroom stains brown-grey decaying wood into a beautiful shade of turquoise. The different elements harmonise like a work of art, which is a perfect match for the Three of Pentacles, a card of teamwork, collaboration and apprenticeship. We all have our parts in play in the work we are involved in, and when the Three of Pentacles pops up it is particularly important to remember that we al;l have something of value4 to contribute; this is a time when we can create something amazing by working with another whose skills complement ours. Recognise and respect the value of different skill levels and expertise. Often with the Three of Pentacles, we are entering into a phase of apprenticeship in an area in which we show promise. You will be supported and mentored well during this time if you are disciplined and prepared to work hard.

Card of the Day ~ The Sun {Midnight Magic Tarot, created by Sara Richard} This card is represented by the Golden Oyster Mushroom, a beautiful warm weather mushroom that smells like watermelons and tastes like cashews and grows from decaying hardwood. Likewise, the Sun is a shining radiance whenever it turns up in a Tarot spread. It is a card of joy, truth, happiness and light. If you’re feeling stuck in the shadows, the Sun card chases that away and helps restore happiness. The advice of the Sun is to be true to yourself, allow yourself to experience joy ~ part of this invitation is accepting that you are entitled to joy, which is a big lesson for some of us. This is also a card of shining bright, it is literally your time in the Sun, so expect to be the centre of attention or at the least, to have attention on you and folk praising your fabulousness. Opportunities may be heading your way ~ say yes! There is success, joy and good luck here, take advantage of it. The Sun is also a reminder to connect with the simple joys in life, feeling grateful for the good things in life. Stop over thinking and just enjoy what is in front of you.

Card of the Day ~ The Emperor {Midnight Magic Tarot, created by Sara Richard} This card is represented by the Fly Agaric, an iconic mushroom that grows large and strong, and isn’t afraid to flaunt their bright oranges, yellows and reds (colours that broadcast the toxic effects to any creature who dares eat it) Like the Emperor card, the Fly Agaric has earned experience and can teach you a lot about control and leadership. The Emperor card is one of stability, discipline, dependability and leadership. While it is often associated with authority that can sometimes be harmful, the Emperor can also signify the qualities of leadership that can achieve positive change. This is about developing, or having, the skills to steer, direct and create structures that benefit a group. I often see the Emperor as about having authority of yourSelf. Know who you are, what you’re good at, where your strengths and talents are, and take them in a direction that benefits you and others. The Emperor can come up as a sign to step up to some kind of leadership or mentoring role. Often we accompany that kind of invitation with the question “Why me?” And the Emperor counters with “Why not you? Who are you not to do this?” A powerful question that can lead to some powerful insights.

Card of the Day ~ Four of Wands {Midnight Magic Tarot, created by Sara Richard} This card is represented by the Birch Polypore, which goes well with the stability theme of the Four of Wands. The Birch Polypore is a well regarded form of ancient medicine that was found in the backpack of a 5,000 year old Alpine mummy in 1991. The Four of Wands is a card of stability, harmony and collaboration. Successful planning and leadership have allowed you to get to a point where a solid foundation is laid, your plans embers are creating a sustainable bonfire worth celebrating. I love the Four of Wands for it’s grounded excitement. There’s happiness and celebration but also the knowledge of the job not being done yet, but a new chapter in the project has opened up because you’ve kicked so much arse so far. This is a time for pause and celebration as it is a mid-point card. It’s more of a “why not” party card then a “We endured such trials and have come to the end” party card. It’s not a com portion card, but it definitely a happy day off card. The Four of Wands also encapsulates ideas of work/life balance, the idea that we aren’t just our work but also our ideas and things we create and much more. If we make room for fun and celebration in our lives, we are better able to do our more serious work.

Card of the Day ~ Wheel of Fortune {Midnight Magic Tarot, created by Sara Richard} This card is represented by the Common Puffball, a mushroom that literally throws fate to the wind by releasing an incredible number of spores into the air with the hope that some find fertile growing environments. The Wheel of Fortune is a card of luck and destiny, of cycles moving through their natural stages so that works well with the Common Puffball. Incidentally, I think I’m going to make Common Puffball my new nickname. The Wheel of Fortune is always turning; sometimes it feels pretty slow but there’s always motion. This is a time when the Wheel has spun fortuitously your way. Sometimes the message of the Wheel is to have faith if you’re going through a crap time; it won’t last forever. There’s an interesting theme in the Wheel of Fortune card, and that is of the tapestry of life being woven. Your life is a rich tapestry, and you’re not the only one holding the thread. You’ve made good and bad choices in life, you’ve had good and bad luck, you’ve been born with and without privileges that influence your life events , choices and opportunities, you’ve been socialised a certain way. The Wheel of life is continually turning, seasons change. The Wheel of Fortune is about luck and change coming your way, but this can be rather ambiguous, so let’s go deeper ~ the Wheel of Fortune is also asking you to take responsibility for creating change with the new cycles and seasons you are being faced with. Luck is nice but it’s much nicer when you work with it to make it something amazing. Change is happening, and good luck is on it’s way ~ how will you work it to it’s highest advantage?

Card of the Day ~ Nine of Wands {Midnight Magic Tarot, created by Sara Richard} This card is represented by the Poison Fire Coral, a notoriously poisonous mushroom that illustrates the feelings of anxiety that can come with the Nine of Wands. Learn from the fragile mushroom and brazenly display your strength against adversity by using the tools that have protected you thus far. This is a card of courage, sacrifice and persistence. Stand your ground and stay persistent. I know, you’re soooo over it and it’s been a battle baby, I know. You’re closer then you think to the end, just one more push. It’s worth it. The Nine of Wands can show us the other side of the energetic, dynamic nature of the Wands suit, which is tiredness and fatigue. Energy is finite so when it runs low it’s not a great time. The Nine of Wands is about that moment of “oooohhhh I am soooo tired”, a recognition of the weariness that can set in after having to do too much for too long. Even if you’re happy to do it, gosh it’s a lot. You may even be wondering if all the energy you’re putting in to things is even worth it. It is, keep going. Remember why you started, pivot back if you need to.
