2Spirits and QC are working with the University of Queensland to better understand community knowledge, attitudes, beliefs, and mpox vaccine uptake. Your input helps shape future health campaigns and support our communities 🌈

If you’re a gay or bis*xual man, another man who has s*x with men (cis or trans), a trans woman, or a non-binary person aged 16+ living in Queensland, and have been s*xually active in the past six months, we want to hear from you.

If you have used our RAPID service before, are living with HIV, or are connected to our Queensland Positive People community, we’d love your help to shape our programs and services for the future.

Visit www.qpp.org.au/plan and complete our short survey to help us help us co-design our new QPP Strategic Plan for 2026 and beyond.

The survey is anonymous and confidential, and asks about the current and future needs of people living with, at risk of, or affected by HIV in Queensland, as well as the priorities for QPP.

Answers are collected, pooled, and de-identified by an independent consultant. None of the questions are compulsory and is a safe space to share thoughts and ideas. We are excited to hear your insights.

Are you bis*xual, pans*xual, q***r, or attracted to more than one gender?

Researchers at UNSW's Kirby Institute are conducting the first community-led and conducted online national survey to ask bi+ people in Australia about their s*xual health, and other aspects of their health and wellbeing.

Questions explore a range of topics related to s*xual identity and attraction, s*x, relationships, and s*xual health (including STIs/HIV and health services) and social networks. The survey also assk about potentially sensitive topics such as alcohol and drug use, types of s*xual behaviour, discrimination, s*xual violence and coercion, and mental health.

The survey should take about 30 - 45 minutes to complete and is completely anonymous and open to anyone who identifies with one or more of the terms fitting under the bi+ umbrella and/or who has s*x with or attractions to people of more than one gender.

We encourage all bi+ individuals to take part in this important health research by the Kirby Institute.

Keen for the Mpox vaccine?
You can get vaccinated for free at one of the pop-up clinics provided by the Metro North Public Health team's clinicians at Wet Sauna in Bowen Hills, 2-4pm on Tuesday February 4th, or Tuesday March 4th. No appointment needed.

RAPID is now closed for a short break over the holiday period.

We look forward to welcoming clients back to our Fortitude Valley clinic on Tuesday the 7th January at 2:30pm as usual.

Today is Wear it Purple Day, a day to celebrate and support LGBTQIA+ young people. The purple of the rainbow flag represents "spirit".

75% of LGBTQIA+ youth in Australia will experience harassment because of their identity, and are therefore are 12x more likely to experience mental health challenges as a result.

So get into the spirit today, and wear a little (or a lot of) purple in support of the LGBTQIA+ youth of Australia.
