💙 💜 🤍 Today, 31 March, we celebrate Trans Day of Visibility – to our trans and gender diverse community members: we celebrate you, we value you, and we stand with you.

📣 Autistic and trans voices matter. Visibility matters. Inclusion matters.

♾️ For parents and carers supporting Autistic LGBTQIA+ young people, please explore our 'Practical Strategies for Parenting Autistic LGBTQIA+ Young People' here:

Whilst I’m sharing ‘fridge photos’ here’s another. As a rural person, if you end up in a tricky spot you can access an Emergency Department online.
It’s been super helpful for our family when it’s not bad enough for an ambulance, but too tricky to wait until morning….

…. And yes, my bad choices have mostly made the best stories….

At our home ‘straight to the pool room’ (reference from the film The Castle) is ‘straight to the fridge’…. It’s where we celebrate things like ‘Student of the Week’ or ‘Gotchya Awards’, sometimes someone might achieve an accolade for a painting or perhaps a movie ticket after a long term at school….
You get it!
Well here’s my Wellbeing Warrior “awards” for this month.
At TWC we take spotting good things to a cute new level. We are all encouraged to let our teammates know we are grateful for the little things they do- we ‘spot’ the goodness and share our mini inner thoughts on pieces of card that once a month get delivered in sweet little envelopes to our pigeonholes. It’s all anonymous, you might never know who it was appreciating that little thing you did…. But it’s the little things that make up the big things.
And I’m super chuffed that someone said thank you to me today.
Xx

A weird connection! I was sitting in a random dinner spot, shared table kinda place, by my lonesome: writing about the conference I had just attended (downloading on to the page).
A couple joined me and eventually we ended up chatting: strangers, never met before.
Cool story, the lady ran the HR department at Disney, and had just been working on the Lion King in Sydney. We had these fabulous conversations about ensuring inclusion, psychological safety and wellbeing were central to big (and little) business.
A big shout out to that cool stranger who was doing such brilliant work!
And if you are in Sydney be sure to lock in a date with The Lion King 🦁

🦁 We’re so proud to be partnering with Disney Theatrical Group once again to support a relaxed performance of Disney’s THE LION KING at Sydney’s Capitol Theatre on Saturday 29 August 2026. 🦁✨

Aspect’s Autism Friendly team are consulting with Disney on a range of thoughtful modifications to help create an inclusive and welcoming theatre experience. This performance will support more people and families to enjoy the magic of live theatre in a way that feels comfortable, supportive and accessible.

For more information, please visit the Accessibility and Inclusion page on THE LION KING website. Tickets are available now: https://www.ticketmaster.com.au/event/13006329AFE342FB

Oh my heart 💜
We see you 🧡❤️💛⭐️

Loneliness is often a quiet, hidden weight.

It’s carried by people who think differently, feel differently, and communicate differently - not because they lack connection, but because the world isn’t always built to meet them where they are.

For many neurodivergent people, loneliness isn’t about being alone.
It’s about being unseen, misunderstood, or asked to shrink in order to belong.

Connection doesn’t require sameness.
It requires safety, curiosity, and space to show up as we are.

You are not broken for feeling this way and you are not alone - there are others who understand, even if you haven’t found them yet. 💙

[ID: Against a moss green background, with the Reframing Autism logo at the top and the colourful knotwork in the lower left corner, white text reads, 'Loneliness is a secret burden, felt so deeply by those who think differently, feel differently, communicate differently'. Beneath the text is an image of a young woman leaning on the back of a sofa, staring out of a window, conveying a sense of sadness and longing].
