On ANZAC Day, Mentis Assist pauses to remember and reflect.

We honour and thank all Australian and New Zealand servicemen and servicewomen for their courage, service and sacrifice.

This day is one of remembrance, gratitude and respect, and also an opportunity to acknowledge the lasting impacts that war and service can have on mental health and wellbeing. For veterans, families, and communities, ANZAC Day can bring a mix of pride, grief, reflection and sadness.

Today, we recognise both the visible and invisible burdens carried through service.

We remember those who served.
We honour those who continue to live with the impacts.
And we acknowledge the importance of support, understanding and connection.

Lest we forget.

Men’s Night at IMAX: Back to the Future & Back to Ourselves
This week, the boys got together for something simple but powerful: a night at IMAX watching Back to the Future, the original classic alongside the new reboot. No pressure, no deep conversations, just men showing up for each other - which is rarer than it should be.

Watching the old film reminded us how much time we spend trying to “fix” our past. Like Marty scrambling to rewrite his timeline. The new movie flipped that, reminding us that the future isn’t something we stumble into, it’s something we build.

Somewhere between the DeLorean, the nostalgia, and the surround sound, the message landed: looking after your mental health doesn’t always mean heavy talks. Sometimes it’s simply being around good people, taking a breather, and remembering you’re not doing life alone.
As Doc says, “Roads? Where we’re going, we don’t need roads. “Turns out, all we really need is each other.

CPS client Ronnie had to say this: “Today we got to see the Back to the Future. It was great to catch up with the boys and do something different for a few hours. I especially liked how it was at night so I could come at a later time and it fit into my day”

The Commonwealth Psychosocial program run frequent social outings, including outside of standard business hours. Because we know Mental health isn’t just 9-5!

The day you plant the seed is not the day you eat the fruit. 🍎
Self care works the same way too.
The rest, the boundaries, the routine and the healing!
You might not see results right away, and that’s okay.
Growth is happening even when it’s quiet. Every small choice you make today is planting something for your future self.
Be patient with yourself. Keep showing up.
The fruit will come. 🌱
