Kate Wilson ND is a qualified Naturopath (Bachelor of Health Science, Naturopathy, 2004) and Meditation Teacher ( Adv. Certificate, Meditation, 2019), accredited with Australian Natural Therapists Association (ANTA) and Meditation Australia (MA). A fundamental principle that underpins Naturopathy, is that we treat the cause of an illness, not simply the disease. Over many years of clinical experience, being a mother to 2 daughters and diving into all of the ‘roles’ between, Kate has arrived with a deep understanding that the primary underlying causes of dis-ease are stress, anxiety and an inability to still the mind. Kate creates unique partnerships with her clients, offering ongoing support and expertise. She works closely with her clients, teaching life-skills and wellness tools to gain confidence for long lasting health and wellbeing. In addition to prescribing tailored natural medicine programs, Kate teaches her clients to cultivate a self - care plan that embraces meditation and mindfulness designed around their own schedule and lifestyle. Kate ‘walks with you’, while encouraging a combination of autonomy and accountability for lasting wellness. In addition to Naturopathic consultations, Kate designs and hosts the following programs;

- one-on-one mindfulness coaching

- group meditation workshops for beginning and further meditation practice

- corporate and workplace wellness seminars

- mindfulness talks for schools and families

Kate has a keen interest in auto-immune disease and the role of the microbiome on our health. She prescribes Food as Medicine, Herbal Medicine, Nutritional Supplements and Flower Essences in her whole person treatment approach. Kate holds all current insurance, registrations, police and working with children checks. Appointments with Kate are available via Zoom and Telehealth, as well as face-to-face consultations at SweetWater Wellness Collective.

Bodacious Buddha Bowl Recipe
We ♥️love love love♥️ Buddha bowls in our house for so many reasons.
If you haven’t discovered these tasty, fun, nutritious and oh my goodness SUPER easy dinner delights then come on over here and hang out with the cool kids.
All you need is…
🌾 A carb ~ I pre-soak and cook some red rice, brown rice and quinoa (all mixed together) and have this chilling in the fridge ready to go.
🐟 A protein ~ this can be tofu, egg, chicken, fish, vegan meat substitutes. Marinated in scrumptious flavours and spices and then fried, steamed, bbq, roasted ~ whatever you’re vibing on the day.
🥑 A fat ~ yep!! Super dooper important. Avocado is a staple at my house and they are pretty cheap at the moment, so half an avocado goes into every bowl in our house. We also sprinkle h**p seeds, chia seeds, slivered almonds or walnuts - even nut butter !!
🥬 Greens ~ a BIIIIG handful of crunchy mixed salad greens or lightly steamed Asian greens for that chlorophyll kick. Sliced cucumber, snow peas and a sprinkle of mung beans sprouts for next level food as medicine.
To serve…
Carefully arrange all of your ‘goodness categories’ separately for an eye candy fix. Take a sexy photo to send to your friends.. then top with a drizzle of flaxseed oil, vegan mayo or kewpie Japanese mayo, wasabi peas, chilli oil and lemon juice.
🥗 Once those Bodacious Buddha Bowls are sitting on your lap ~ make sure to mix that nourishment all together. Then you’ll get all the flavours, textures and goodness with each mouthful.
Hot tips!
🎨 Be creative. Any carb, any protein, any greens, ANY toppings!!
🏕 This is a great camping meal
⏰ Pre cook your carbs and proteins for those mega busy evenings when you can’t be f #%£ed cooking.
Now take a screen shot of this recipe and pop your phone down. Relax your shoulders, your belly and jaw and soften your brow. Take a deep breath in and then sleepy let go on the out breath.
At the end of this breath.. ask yourself… do I need to keep scrolling? Is it time for me to get off Insta and do something else?

Immune Wellness in a Modern Age

Immunity certainly is a hot topic at the moment, and vaccinated or not, now is the PERFECT time to take a look at your overall health and wellness and ensure that your immune system has all the tools it requires to combat infection.

We are lucky enough to live in a time, and a country, where we have easy access to the world's most incredible superfoods and immune building supplements.

With stage 4 restrictions now in place, I am unable to continue to conduct face-to-face consultations.
I am, however, still fully available for Telehealth appointments.
Surprisingly, Telehealth consultations still feel very relaxed and connected.
If you are apprehensive about losing that connection online - I encourage you to take that playful and courageous leap.

While we are unable to access our regular health services and the impact of restricted connection with loved ones, I feel that many people are struggling to stay on top of their and their families health.
My offerings are for all ages, from babies to the elderly, so if you, or your family need physical, mental and emotional assistance, please do reach out.

If you are experiencing financial hardship, I am happy to support you on your healing journey with discounted products and reduced consultation fees.

I am also hosting free online Zoom meditation sessions once a week.

While our kids are housebound and the extra curricular activities have been paused for a while, it feels like the perfect time to offer this course. I’m offering a four week online course for 11-14yo aimed at teaching life-long coping strategies through meditation & mindfulness.
