✨ Welcoming the New Year, Gently ✨

Last night we welcomed 2026 in a very simple way -
with a candle, a small fire, and a moment to pause.

We each wrote down something we were ready to release,
and one by one, let it go into the flames.
What began as one thing quietly became many -
old worries, habits, and heaviness we didn’t want to carry forward.

If you’d like to try something similar today, you might like to:
🕯 Light a candle
🌿 Take a slow breath
💭 Ask yourself:
• What am I ready to release?
• What do I want more of this year?
• How do I want to feel as I step into 2026?

You don’t need big answers. Even a word or a feeling is enough.

As part of our little ritual, we finished the sentence:
“I will start 2026 with…”

Max (13 year old) thought for a moment, then said - very enthusiastically..
“Vigour and gusto.” 💪
(It was perfect, and made us all smile especially with 2026 being the year of the horse!)

If you’re doing this with a partner or family, you might like to ask:
• What support would feel good this year?
• What are we ready to let go of together?
• How can we care for each other more gently?

Sometimes the most meaningful way to begin a new year
is simply with presence and intention.

However this day meets you, may you find moments to connect..
to breathe, to slow down..
and allow the day to unfold without expectation.
May you cherish this time with those you love.

And even now..
pause for a moment.
A hand to heart, a hand to belly.
Breathe in… soften.
Breathe out… and smile.

This breath.
This presence.
This moment is enough 🪷

Something special to begin the new year… 🌿

Join me for a whole afternoon devoted to gentle release, grounding, and renewal. The Somatic Release Mini-Retreat is a 3-hour restorative workshop designed to help you unwind physical, mental, and emotional tension through slow, mindful movement and deep rest.

Together, we’ll explore the body’s natural capacity to soften, regulate, and restore balance when given time and care - through tapping, spiral and wave-like movement, orienting, self-holding, restorative yoga, cleansing breathwork, and a long, nourishing Yoga Nidra.

You’ll leave feeling grounded, reconnected, and restored - ready to step gently into 2026 🫶

📅 Saturday 3 January, 2–5 pm

💛 $75 | Includes tea, fruit & sweet treats

Hi beautiful community 🫶

It’s been a little while since I’ve been online - life’s been full in quiet, meaningful ways. I’ve also been craving a little less screen time and a little more sky time.. stepping back from the digital noise to reconnect with stillness, nature, and the simple rhythm of everyday life 🌿

So… what’s been happening? As some of you know, back in September I completed my Diploma of Counselling and since then I’ve been continuing my learning through Somatic Experiencing® trauma-practitioner training and deepening my work with body-based mindfulness and nervous-system regulation.

I’m also close to completing a Specialist Clinical Training in Autism & ADHD, which is adding such valuable insight into supporting neurodivergent clients and families with care and understanding.

It feels like a natural evolution of everything we’ve been exploring together.. the gentle, embodied ways we learn to listen, soften, and know the right path when it appears ✨

As this work grows, I’ll slowly be expanding into Calm Heart Living - a broader home for yoga, mindfulness, counselling and somatic therapy, supporting the whole self: body, mind & heart 💜

Over the next week I’ll be sharing our summer timetable, new class times, and a special Somatic Release Mini-Retreat in early January.

For now, I just wanted to say hello and thank you for being part of this beautiful community🪷

Hello dearest yogis 🫶

It’s been a week of deep learning and gentle integration as I completed my beginning level 1 Somatic Experiencing® Trauma Therapy training this week - such an incredible, heart is full, experience 🌿✨

Thank you for pausing your practice this week so I could attend and immerse fully in this next layer of learning. I truly appreciate your patience and support - it means so much.

To ease back into rhythm, I’m offering a nourishing one-off Saturday morning class on 18th October (tomorrow) 8:45–10am in the Frankston South studio.

If your body and heart are calling for some gentle movement, soothing breathwork, and quiet meditation, I’d love to share this with you.

Let’s move, breathe, feel and settle into the here and now together.

Today is World Mental Health Day - a reminder to pause, check in, and connect.

This year, have chosen the theme “Connect with your Community.” Connection helps us feel seen, supported, and cared for - and that’s at the heart of good mental health 🫶

Community can take many shapes:
your friends, your loved ones, your yoga group, local community garden, choir, book club, running group, volunteer project, or even your online spaces.

Wherever you find belonging - that’s community.
Let’s keep finding gentle ways to connect, reach out for support when we need it, and keep open conversations about mental health alive.

Sometimes the best reset is legs up the wall… even in your jeans. 😉

Join me tonight (Wednesday 30th July) at 6.30pm for a nourishing Hatha Yoga class in Frankston South - gentle movement, deep rest, and a chance to exhale. A few spots are still available.

🧘🏽‍♀️ This session replaces Thursday night’s usual class, as I’ll be at the opening of an art exhibition at the Frankston Arts Centre tomorrow night. My incredible wife has a painting on display in the Cube Gallery called She/Her and it’s showing until the end of August, so pop in if you’re local!
