👣 Chasing Butterflies for Elsie
With Love From Dr Emily & Family 🦋
Every day in Australia, nine babies and children are lost suddenly or unexpectedly.
This August, my family and I are joining the Red, Set, Go Challenge to raise funds for in honour of our precious daughter, Elsie.
Red Nose is a remarkable organisation that supports grieving families and funds crucial research into the causes of sudden infant and child death. Their work means the world to families like ours.
We’ve created a team called Chasing Butterflies for Elsie, as butterflies are a beautiful reminder of her presence around us.
💛 I’ll be walking 3km a day with Goldie, and Ben will be running 3km a day for the 3,000 babies lost to SIDS each year, and especially for Elsie.
We would be so touched if anyone in the Indah Health community feels called to donate or join our team.
I want to share something personal. The day after we lost Elsie, my mum called the 24/7 Red Nose support line. She spoke to a woman who had experienced a similar loss, and she told her to tell me:
“It’s not your fault.”
As a mother, those words gave me comfort when I needed it most. Without that support, I may have carried a heavy burden of guilt for much longer. The services Red Nose provides to families during the worst time of their lives are absolutely invaluable.
If you’d like to walk with us in spirit, contribute to our fundraiser, or share this with someone who may be touched by our story we would be truly honoured. Link in bio
Thank you for always being part of our village.
With love,
Dr Emily, Ben, Goldie & Elsie 🤍🦋
