Billy is no ordinary team member—he’s our gentle and kind therapy dog who brings comfort, joy, and calm to everyone he meets! 💙

Billy has a special way of knowing exactly when someone needs a little extra love. Whether it’s offering a soft nudge for comfort or lying quietly by a client's side, Billy’s calming presence has made a positive impact to all those he works with.

Our clients often say that Billy makes their time here more enjoyable and helps them feel more at ease. 🐶💖 His favourite things include belly rubs, treats, and making new friends with both humans and other dogs! 🐕✨

We’re so lucky to have Billy as part of the Active One family, bringing smiles and spreading love wherever he goes! 🐾💙

Client Story Friday: 📖

This Friday, we are celebrating Robert! 🎉

Robert joined our Active One group exercise classes back in May, and since then, he has been thriving. 💪

He began his exercise journey with cardiac rehab at Epworth. Upon completing the program, he recognised the benefits of exercise on his health and daily life and chose to continue with our group exercise classes. 🌟

The transition from cardiac rehab to our classes was smooth for Robert, as he enjoys the company of the group and the variety of exercises prescribed by our Exercise Physiologists. 🤝 In addition to helping with his cardiac rehab, he has also noticed improved balance since attending classes. ⚖️

Robert brings a positive attitude and a willingness to challenge himself to every session. Keep up the great work, Robert! 👏

👪👋 Meet Andy, Grade One OT at Active One! 🏥

After spending 10 years as an actuary in Hong Kong, Andy followed his passion for helping people and shifted gears to pursue a career in occupational therapy. Now, with a Master’s Degree from Monash University, he’s dedicated to enabling individuals to live meaningful, independent lives. 💪💙

When he’s not working, you’ll find him enjoying his favorite sports like Formula 1 and NBA, or relaxing with some Netflix documentaries like Drive to Survive and Physical 100 or watching his favourite Spiderman! 🕷️🎬

Andy also loves to travel, and Japan holds a special place in his heart for its art, history, and breathtaking natural scenery. 🌸✈️ Oh, and if you’re a fellow animal lover, you’re in great company! 🐕🏀

We love having Andy as part of our team, and we know his passion and expertise make a real difference in the lives of our clients! 🎉💙

Client Story Friday: 📖

Meet Ken. 👋

Ken has been a regular at our 7am Brighton classes for 8 years! He initially joined Active One to boost his physical activity, and now, after a fall outside of the gym that resulted in a dislocated shoulder and hip replacement, our classes have become essential for his rehabilitation. 🏥💪

Thanks to the variety in our sessions, Ken has improved his injuries, stays fit, and enjoys a pain-free life. 🚶‍♂️ He’s now able to walk up stairs with ease and has regained a better range of motion in his hips and shoulders, allowing him to tackle daily tasks that once seemed difficult. 🙌

Keep up the great work, Ken! 👏
