From Kelley Amrein - In 2016, I co‑facilitated a Quantum EFT workshop in New Hampshire with practitioner Jenny Johnston. Every attendee had a tapping session with Jenny. The sessions my daughter Shannon and I had with Jenny changed both our lives.
During my session, we uncovered a past life where I was a healer, and a young woman died in childbirth under my care. The guilt from that life had followed me into this one—shaping my fear of healing, my terror of failing, even my fear of success as an author. I realized I’d spent years collecting yoga and EFT certifications, not just to grow, but to hide from writing.
Then came Shannon’s session.
She discovered that she was that young woman from the past life—the one who died. Suddenly, our intense bond, my deep urge to “fix” her health, and my crushing sense of responsibility all made sense. On some level, I’d been trying to rewrite a tragic ending that had already happened.
Through tapping, Jenny helped us release those old patterns. I learned I wasn’t responsible for Shannon’s healing now—or her death then. The fear and victimhood that had been quietly running my life began to dissolve.
The shifts were fast and real:
- Shannon found the healing path that worked for her.
- I returned to writing with a sense of freedom I hadn’t felt in decades.
- I went on to publish my Of Gods and Monsters series, finally stepping fully into my calling as an author instead of running from it.
We’ve shared this story in a new collaborative book, Tapping Into Your Best Life, all about EFT and healing. Our chapter weaves together past lives, soul bonds, and how tapping helped us both move onto our true paths.
