Dr Milne graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1989 with M.B B S. She was a student and resident doctor at the Royal Melbourne Hospital for 6 years. Fiona extended her medical experience with post graduate appointments in city and country areas including Great Keppel Island. Dr Milne has worked with several Plastic Surgeons and her experience in this specialty led to wide experience with injection therapies for cosmetic enhancement. For the past 10 years the non surgical approach to facial aesthetics has been Fiona's increasing area of focus. Dr Fiona Milne regularly participates in conferences and training seminars on the latest non surgical techniques. Additionally Fiona contributes to a number of advisory boards and is currently a trainer for various dermal fillers. Natalie put up her hand to be treated by our lovely nurse, Lisa, who has just joined our team. Lisa has been a longstanding patient of mine. She has 20 years of nursing experience and now is working in the cosmetic field. She has an excellent eye for detail and an aesthetic that is perfectly aligned with our philosophy. Ie less is more, and enhancement of the individual in a natural and wholistic way. Lisa will be working at Face Medicine on Fridays initially. All tissue planes in the face are affected by ageing. In large part, our perceived age is determined more by the shape of our face and less by the wrinkles. ( think about how you can guess someone’s age from a distance when you can’t see any wrinkles at all). A large part of this face shape change is due to changes and shrinking of the fat layer. This can lead to a tired look, sagging, the start of jowl formation and a more square as opposed to oval shape to the face. Do you ever stand in front of the mirror pushing back the skin in front of your ears thinking that’s all I need..?!
