pov: it’s the last time nursing your 23 month old 🥺

we’ve been slowly weaning over the last 2-3 months, and right now giving my body a break feels like the best decision as we navigate some personal life changes. it also feels like the right time to allow my body and hormones to recalibrate back to its natural physiological rhythms.

it has been such a privilege to breastfeed my boy just two months shy of his second birthday.

that’s over 700 days. over a thousand ounces of breast milk. and countless quiet moments of being finley’s comfort, nourishment and safe space.

i honestly could not be more proud of my body 🤍

breastfeeding has been one of the most remarkable chapters of motherhood. it is truly a superpower! mothers give so much through this, and it deserves more recognition than it ever gets.

if you’re a breastfeeding mama… soak up these moments. take the pictures (i wish i’d taken more 💔). because time really does fly by, and one day your baby won’t need you in the same way 🥺

i don’t train the way i used to.
i have way less time now. i train fewer days. i have a completely different body. i’m in a new season of life.
but having my baby reminded me that progress doesn’t come from doing more… it comes from being consistent with what’s realistic.

this is for the mamas who feel like they’re “not doing enough.” i feel you, i see you, i understand you.

show up. have intention. repeat. strength follows.

deadlift: 3 reps @ 135kg

16 months pp. 3 weeks notice to fill in.
plenty of self doubt, but a community full of belief.
panicked pram runs, late night pumps, and extra training squeezed in where i could.
first bedtime missed.
but my first hyrox done.
hard, but good. and so much fun.
would totally do it again!!!

thanks for the encouragement , especially my tassie bogan beb for being my no.1 cheerleader and support gal as i navigate this new version of me as a new mum. ily!
