We had such an awesome time working with Bill and Luke from Ability Tech to help support this custom gaming setup for Bill! Watching Luke build this from scratch to meet Bill’s complex needs was seriously impressive.
Bill was super hands-on throughout the whole process, giving feedback at every step to make sure the setup worked perfectly for him. I pitched in from an OT perspective, helping with switch layouts and pressure, joystick placement and of course sorting out the funding side of things.
Seeing Bill and Luke work together was so much fun. If anyone can spot a bug and give Luke a challenge, it’s Bill!
For Bill, gaming isn’t just a hobby - it’s his passion and a huge part of his life. Now, with this setup, he can independently manage complex gaming sequences without needing help—something that’s been truly life-changing for him.
A big shoutout to Luke and the team at Ability Tech for making this all happen. This project has been such a rewarding experience, and we couldn’t be happier with the outcome for Bill!

Some Friday fun with .cp.journey - he’s all set to take on his Brother and Sister with his new accessible gaming kit. Taj has an accessible joystick and some switches with the right interfacing to allow him to play his Nintendo switch! He can add additional switches to give him more control and access as he develops his skills! Have a fun weekend and school holidays Taj! 🥳🤩🍄💥

Perth Zoo will soon be even more accessible for visitors with disability with the addition of a new Changing Place! 🤝🦁The specialist bathroom facility will be located on the Main Lawn in the heart of the Zoo and adds to the growing Statewide network of Changing Places.

It forms part of the next exciting phase in the Perth Zoo Master Plan, which includes an overhead Primate Run and new visitor amenities to complement the recently completed Café and playground.

Thankyou Motum for helping with this customised set up of off the shelf scripted Spex seating for our client with very specific postural needs!! She was so happy and comfortable in her new contoured backrest, base cushion with split seat depth, headrest and padded calf board. The bright multicolored spoke guard covers were also a major hit! 💝🦽🍭👏🫶

It doesn’t get much more customised then this commode … this has been designed and built / checked at each stage to suit this clients complex posture. With an offset aperture, pressure care seat, thoracic support, hip guide, thigh guide, customised abducted legrest hangers and custom padding and upholstery. Thanks Unicare for going above and beyond to ensure this commode has been built to suit our clients needs! 🙌👏🫶❤️

All of Chris’ Christmas wishes (and essential mobility/seating needs) came true when his new chair arrived - just in the nick of time as his old chair died!! 🎄🥳👏✨ thanks Motum for getting it sorted so Chris could be mobile for Christmas! 👨‍🦼 ……….. Chris drives his power chair with his foot and operates his communication device and environmental controls with an array of switches on his footplates!
