❓ Are you over 18 years of age?
❓ Do you have a diagnosis of Autism?
❓ Are you living in Perth or surrounds?
❓ Do you experience anxiety?

If you answered yes to all of the above, we have a really exciting opportunity to take part in an international study – The STRATA Study!

This study is an international collaboration between the University of Bristol and The University of Western Australia that will include 306 people (75 in WA) for up to 12 months.

The STRATA study is a randomised controlled trial that aims to find out whether the medication sertraline is an effective treatment for anxiety in adults with a diagnosis of Autism.

This study will support in understanding the individual’s experience of the treatment, what people think about being invited to the study, their experiences being part of it and will help understand if sertraline is an acceptable treatment. They will also determine whether it is better a better treatment for anxiety in people with Autism than a placebo.

We are inviting adults with a diagnosis of autism to take part in the STRATA study - the largest study on the treatment of anxiety in autistic people.

STRATA has been co-produced with experienced clinicians, researchers, and autistic people. You can take part from anywhere in Western Australia.
