Kinesiology New Zealand

Kinesiology New Zealand Nicki Thompson is a Functional Kinesiologist based in Hawkes Bay, New Zealand. What is Kinesiology?

Kinesiology is a holistic/natural form of healthcare which combines muscle monitoring with the principles of Chinese medicine to access energy and body function, applying a range of gentle yet powerful healing techniques to improve health, well-being and vitality. Kinesiology uses gentle muscle monitoring to obtain bio-feedback from your own body intelligence to decipher what factors are involved

in your health issue, whether it be physical, emotional, mental, nutritional or spiritual. Kinesiology can help improve a wide range of health issues, including:

Emotional issues
Stress and anxiety
Low energy levels
Addictions
Fears and phobias
Hormonal issues
Fertility issues
Physical pain
Child behavioural issues
Immune issues
Nutritional sensitivities
Poor self-esteem
General well-being

Kinesiology helps one access the inner knowing and find again the power of choice in one's life.

An important concept in Chinese Medicine is that a physical disorder associated with a certain organ can originate from an imbalance in emotions.

There is also a possibility that organ imbalance can amplify the emotion associated with it, resulting in a perpetual return.

A system’s expression determines its emotions. For example, the Heart is associated with Joy, but when it is out of balance it can manifest as despondency, agitation or a lack of self esteem.

By understanding the relationship between organ systems and emotions, you can better understand what your body is telling you or what emotional nourishment it needs!

HOW WILL I FEEL AFTER A KINESIOLOGY SESSION?

I never quite know how you will feel post-session and how transformation will occur. It differs based on the person, the focus of the session and your initial state of being. Nevertheless, I have identified 3 general patterns.

1. It’s possible that you will experience improvement almost immediately. You may feel joyful, exceptionally self-assured and clear. Of course, this can can be the most desired outcome, however the other outcomes I will mention can be equally if not more impactful, so try to refrain from accessing how you feel after a session, simply allow and observe.

2. You may feel a gradual change. You may feel uncertain or not fully aware of your emotions yet, which is totally ok. What usually happens next is that gradual changes take place over the course of days or weeks. It might only be when you are in certain situations that you realise you’re responding differently. Or maybe a couple of weeks later, you realise you haven’t been dwelling on that past incident that used to affect you.

3. Physical or emotional symptoms worsen - this is temporary. The feeling of ‘flatness’ or more reactive emotions may be experienced, as well as headaches or frequent bowel movements. Our natural instinct is to think ‘I wouldn’t want that to happen to me after a session!’ However it’s always a sign that something big is shifting. In the event that you experience this after a session, it will generally subside within 24/48 hours and you will feel significantly better after that xx
