The No-Yelling Parenting Tool Kit. Working on time management with children means initial hard work with long term gains! 🎯💼👨‍👩‍👧‍👦✨

There isn’t a blanket rule when it comes to parenting strategies. The secret lies on finding a good enough balance⚖️.

Here's how to raise children’s awareness about organisation and teach them about time management 📚⏰🌟
1️⃣ Embrace the Power of Routines: Establishing a consistent daily routine sets the stage for consistency. From morning rituals to bedtime routines, structure helps kids thrive and allows you to not have to keep reminding them later on down the line! 🌅💤

2️⃣ Prioritize & Delegate: Identify priorities and delegate tasks effectively. Share responsibilities with your partner or family members and empower your kids with age-appropriate tasks that foster independence. 🤝🏼🌟

3️⃣ Quality Over Quantity: It's not about the quantity of time spent, but the quality of interactions. Engage deeply with your little ones during dedicated playtime, creating meaningful memories that contribute to their growth and development. 🎨🤗

4️⃣ Streamline Chores: Seek for solutions to simplify daily tasks. Meal prepping, leaving the clothes and lunch boxes ready for the next day will save you precious time and help with the business of trying to get out of the house on time in the mornings.

Since the start of COVID-19, many children were prevented from enjoying the freedom they once had to explore the world, social spaces and friendships. The repercussions of the limitations imposed by COVID are real and have become a struggle for many families. Psychologists and mental health experts say they are witnessing a spike in anxiety among children, especially during the second wave, this is because many children contracted the infection, had to isolate, quarantine or be cooped up at home. These are some signs too look out for. If you’ve noticed any changes in your child’s behaviour, don’t blame them. They could be suffering from COVID related anxiety.

Play is so important to optimal child development that it has been recognised by the United Nations High Commission for Human Rights as a right of every child.(1)

Play allows children to use their creativity while developing their imagination, dexterity, and physical, cognitive, and emotional strength. Play is important to healthy brain development. It is through play that children at a very early age engage and interact in the world around them. Play allows children to create and explore a world they can master, conquering their fears while practicing adult roles, sometimes in conjunction with other children or adult caregivers. As they master their world, play helps children develop new competencies that lead to enhanced confidence and the resiliency they will need to face future challenges.(2)
