Exercise is a great way to activate all the pathways for longevity and health.

You can't exercise your weight out of a bad diet, but it can be a critical step to building muscle, building cardiovascular fitness, and regulating insulin.

Just start with something if you're doing nothing. If you’re already incorporating daily movement, you can try out something like high-intensity interval training. You can also strength train, which helps maintain and build muscle for longevity.

A mix of light or short cardio and strength can be a powerful duo for staying healthy, which I’ve written extensively about in my book, Young Forever.

I personally lift three times a week for at least thirty minutes. Additionally, I love to go on hikes, go on bike rides, and practice yoga. How do you like to move?

Everyone who has had a sore throat, rash, hives, or a sprained ankle knows about inflammation. Those are normal appropriate responses of our defense system to infection or trauma. We need inflammation to survive.⁣⁣⁣

The trouble occurs when that defense system runs out of control, like a rebel army bent on destroying its own country. Most people are familiar with overactive immune responses and too much inflammation in common conditions like allergies, rheumatoid arthritis, autoimmune disease or asthma.
