Plus is an industry leading day program, empowering people with disability who require higher levels of behaviour support, to make meaningful contributions through work activities. This is groundbreaking for the disability community in Australia. Plus currently operates from one site – at unit 5, 10 Rodborough Road, Frenchs Forest, NSW – with plans to expand in the coming years.

2025 has been a year of growth and engagement at Plus. We’re proud of every participant, family member, and team member who has supported learning, connection, and personal development throughout the year.

This year we supported 38 participants, with an average 26 people attending per day. Plus clinical has grown to support 115 clients across 95 suburbs of Sydney, and our engagement in our group activities increased, with 30 sessions supporting confidence, daily living skills and social connection.

A warm welcome to Masato, one of our newest Plus participants.

As Masato finishes school this year and transitions into Plus, he has jumped straight in and quickly become an active part of the program. He has been helping the team with gardening tasks and supporting our Ezyline orders, activities that build focus, hand eye coordination and patience. These are valuable skills that can be applied across many areas of everyday life.

It has been wonderful to see Masato approach new tasks with such enthusiasm and a positive attitude. Well done Masato!

This month, we are proud to shine the spotlight on Max. Max has been part of the Plus community for a couple of years, and it has been wonderful to see his growing engagement and steady progress towards his individual goals.

One of Max’s key goals has been learning to cook in our lifestyles kitchen. He is now confidently preparing sausages in the air fryer and is close to completing the task independently, which is a fantastic achievement. Max also enjoys his daily walk to the local café for hot chips and, with support, is now placing his order and paying independently, building important life skills and confidence.

We have also seen Max become more socially engaged around the hub, chatting with others, joining group activities like puzzles, and enjoying movement and relaxation on the trampoline or in the hammock. We are grateful to watch Max continue to grow and embrace new opportunities each week, with heartfelt thanks to Jemimah and our health and wellness team for their ongoing support.

Kai is successfully transitioning into Plus while still completing his final year of school. Recently, Kai enjoyed making snails out of pipe cleaners, a fun and engaging creative activity that supported Kai with his regulation and focus. Cynthia, one of our incredible support workers at Plus, brought supplies from home and came prepared with this thoughtful activity.

Moments like these highlight the personalised support that makes Plus such a positive space for our participants.

International Day of People with Disability is a reminder of why our work at Plus matters. This year’s theme, 'fostering disability inclusive societies for advancing social progress', reflects what we see every day.

Our participants build skills, confidence and independence in ways that look different for everyone, whether that is daily life skills, health and wellbeing activities, creative expression, meaningful work or real world learning in the community.

Their commitment shows what inclusion can be when people are supported to participate fully and lead their own lives. Our role is to remove barriers, shift attitudes and help create a society where everyone belongs.

Today and every day, we stand with our participants as they continue to shape a more inclusive future.

It’s been a successful month of growth for Yuumi! She’s enjoyed fun social days - like mini golf with friends at Plus - while also making amazing progress in the Hub. Yuumi has been learning to use a communication device with great success, showing determination and confidence every step of the way. We’re proud to celebrate her achievements, from building friendships to developing new skills.

Here is Maddie enjoying the wind in her hair and the fresh sea breeze after her first ocean swim of the season. At Plus, we know that being active in ways that participants love is important for both physical health and mental wellbeing. Maddie enjoys swimming for exercise in one of our many local sea pools, where she can feel confident, have fun and connect with the natural environment. These experiences help build independence, joy and a sense of achievement.

At Plus, we're proud to offer a flexible and supportive environment where our participants can work with their allied health teams to achieve their goals. Here, Jocelyn is having a blast playing skittles with her exercise physiologist, while improving her hand-eye coordination and concentration skills. We're cheering her on every step of the way!
