Important Update:
We want to update the Northern Beaches community about some changes happening at Northern Beaches Hospital.
The NSW Government has today announced that the management and operation of the hospital is transitioning to NSW Health and will become part of the Northern Sydney Local Health District.
During the transition period, Healthscope will continue to manage the hospital.
The complete transition from Healthscope to Northern Sydney Local Health will be announced in due course.
Northern Beaches Hospital remains open, including the 24-hour emergency department, operating theatres, maternity services, and other services.
We understand that change can sometimes be unsettling, but we want to assure you that for our patients and community, very little will change during this transition period. You will continue to receive exceptional care from the fantastic staff at the hospital.
Patient safety and continuity of care are our priorities. We are working closely with NSW Health to ensure a smooth transition of operations.
All hospital patient booked appointments are unchanged unless you have been contacted and informed otherwise.
