Our Avenue Frenchs Forest team has been hard at work prepping for the incoming Wear It Purple stock - refreshing storage areas, updating process manuals, and fine‑tuning every step 💜

🌟 Team Member Spotlight: Meet Nadine! 🌟

Since joining Avenue in 2024, Nadine has worked hard towards her own personal growth, embracing change with resilience and a can-do attitude. She’s a valued part of our Markets, Animals, and Social teams and she especially loves taking the dogs for their daily exercise at the dog park with the rest of the Animals crew! 🐾

Her positivity and openness to new work tasks and experiences are an inspiration to us all, and make Nadine an asset to Avenue! We can't wait to see what she achieves next! 👏

Donate to Avenue this tax time

Did you know that Avenue is a not-for-profit organisation? This end of financial year, why not make a tax-deductible donation towards the social and economic inclusion of people with disability?

Rubi joined Avenue Botany in 2022. She is part of the markets team which curates a range of ethical products, sells these at community markets and shares in the profits. Rubi prefers to play a behind-the-scenes role in the team, as she can be quite socially anxious.

At Avenue, Rubi has been supported to build her communication skills to great success. She is now more accepting of new people and enjoys meeting and working with them. She is better able to advocate for herself, and her Tourettes has improved.

Her confidence has increased so much that she’s even learned to answer the phone at the reception desk and take visitors on tours of the hub.

“I’ve learnt that I’m a hard worker and I’ve learnt how to help people,” said Rubi.

The past few weeks at Avenue Parramatta have been full of connection, choice, and good times out and about.

We enjoyed an adventure-filled day at Central Gardens Reserve, soaking up the sunshine and fresh air. There was also a peaceful bushwalk around Parramatta Lake, friendly tennis matches in North Parramatta, and a relaxing Pamper Day right here at the hub.

For those looking for even more adventure, we explored the fascinating exhibits at the Australian Museum and spent a fun-filled day at Luna Park - where we enjoyed lots of laughs, rides, and stunning harbour views.

Our social activities are shaped by our team, and it’s been lovely to see people getting involved in ways that suit them 💛

Meet Harvey from Avenue Frenchs Forest!

Harvey joined us in November last year, and since then, he’s been absolutely thriving in our Gigs & Flyers and Order Fulfilment teams.

From getting more involved in his work tasks to growing in confidence and building great connections with his teammates, Harvey’s made some incredible strides toward his goals. 🙌

We’ve also loved seeing his support network grow - with our fantastic support workers playing a big part in making each day positive and empowering.

This month we're shining the spotlight on Lochie!

Lochie is an absolute legend across our Hub Management, Order Fulfilment, and Social teams.

At the Hub, he keeps things clean and organised, nails the Return and Earn tasks, and keenly fires up the BBQ every Tuesday after collecting the teams orders. 🍔🔥

In Order Fulfilment, Lochie has taken real ownership of his role by creating a personalised job board to help him manage his daily tasks. He’s also set himself a goal to greet five people each day—a small but meaningful way he's building his confidence and growing his social skills. This has helped him form great new friendships at Avenue!
