Feedback is one of the greatest tools for growth. At Jigsaw, trainees practise real workplace skills in a supportive setting and feedback from trainers, teammates or managers becomes a guide to improvement. It is not about criticism, but about learning what is working and what could be better. When you receive feedback, listen with an open mind, ask clarifying questions and separate the message from your sense of self. Then turn it into action, set a small goal, try a change and track your progress. Over time, feedback builds confidence, resilience and readiness for any job. Embrace feedback as your pathway to continuous improvement.

We've written an article on how to get the most out of workplace feedback - head to our blog to read it now - the link is in our bio.

Lauren’s journey from Jigsaw trainee to data entry assistant is a shining example of what’s possible when opportunity and inclusion come together. When she joined Jigsaw Melbourne in 2020, she threw herself into both the training and work programs and discovered how naturally her strengths aligned with precision tasks. Handling file management, scanning, quality control and inventory quickly became more than just duties; they became sources of pride and fulfilment. Now, Lauren works from home as a data entry assistant, delivering top-quality work with confidence and ease. Her story is a reminder that when talent meets the right support, people flourish.

Well done, Lauren, your eye for detail is making a difference every day.

(Read more about Lauren’s story at the link in our bio or via our website.)

We were delighted to welcome Assistant Minister for Social Services, Ged Kearney MP, and Member for Melbourne, Sarah Witty MP, to Jigsaw Melbourne on Friday!

Our trainee Jazzy and paid trainee Emma shared their incredible stories - showing how Jigsaw’s model of preparing people for work through work is helping people with disability build skills, confidence, and pathways to mainstream employment.

Thank you, Assistant Minister Kearney and Ms Witty, for taking the time to meet our team, listen to lived experiences, and celebrate what’s possible when inclusion and opportunity go hand in hand.

Together, we’re working toward a future where every person with disability has the opportunity for meaningful, paid employment. 💼✨

We’re absolutely thrilled!

On 8 October, during remarks in the House of Representatives, Ms Claire Clutterham MP highlighted her visit to Jigsaw Adelaide and recognised our paid trainees Ben and Josh - sharing how Ben “can’t wait for his alarm to go off” for work and how both trainees have found purpose and respect through award‑wage roles.

We loved hosting Ms Clutterham at our Adelaide hub earlier this month and we value her support for our mission to build an Australia where people with disability are fully included in the workforce.

Proud to see this commitment to meaningful work for all.

In honour of World Cerebral Palsy Day 2025, we asked Darcy, a trainee from our Brisbane hub, if he could advocate for one change to improve the lives of people with CP, what would it be?

🌍 Today is World Cerebral Palsy Day and this year’s theme is “Unique and United.”
We’ve created some slides to share what cerebral palsy is, the challenges faced by the CP community, and the global efforts working to improve awareness, inclusion, and outcomes for people living with CP.

🌍 Today is World Cerebral Palsy Day 2025. This year’s theme, Unique and United, resonates deeply with us as a business empowered by Fighting Chance. Our founders, Laura and Jordan, were inspired by their brother Shane, who had cerebral palsy, to create a future where people with disability have equal access to opportunity, dignity and prosperity.
We asked Darcy, a trainee in our Brisbane hub, to share his thoughts on what makes him unique, the change he’d like to see, and how CP shapes the way he tackles challenges and goals.

A huge thank you to Claire Clutterham MP for visiting Jigsaw Adelaide last week. Our paid trainees, Josh and Ben, proudly showcased the incredible work they do at Jigsaw, and as Claire shared, the big takeaway is simple but powerful: everyone has something valuable to contribute.
