It has been an exciting week as the YNA Far North QLD team hit the road to engage with healthcare facilities, universities and TAFE to explore the potential for partnership.
It has been a week of valuable conversations, learning opportunities and meaningful collaborations.
We were particularly focused on how we can assist the local healthcare sector with staffing needs through the supply of experienced and committed nurses, midwives and support personnel.
It was also a pleasure to meet with universities and TAFE to explore how we can support students to transition to a successful career in healthcare and support services.

Our team had the opportunity to attend the Ready Set Connect event in Cairns, joining 20+ local providers for a fast-paced, face-to-face networking session.

Over two hours, we connected with nearly 80 support coordinators, social workers, youth workers, and participants — sharing what we do, answering questions, and hearing directly about community needs.

We came away with valuable insights, especially around support gaps in Innisfail, Mareeba, Mossman, and Atherton.
A fantastic day strengthening partnerships and supporting better outcomes for our region!
