Our Flight Crew, together with the Aspen Doctor and Paramedic competed a short training exercise this morning dealing with loading and unloading a critical patient in and out of the aircraft.
Well done to everyone who took part in the training today. It was good to see awesome teamwork as usual and a job well done overall.

Also a huge thank you to Eddie who supplied the Subway Wraps and other refreshments at the completion of the training.

Congratulations Jan and Andrew on the completion of your recurrent simulator training at LOFT today. You were the last of our crew to compete the program and we hope you had fun.

Also a huge thank you to Luke who spent just over 6 weeks in Carlsbad facilitating our training. Your efforts has not been unnoticed, and we’re sure that everyone has learnt a lot and gained a lot of experience from their training with you.

The patient has been transferred to the St. John’s Ambulance, the aircraft has been refuelled, and the both the Flight & Medical Crew are preparing for the 2 hour flight back to Karratha for some much needed rest.

Today, Mike and Jan got notified of a pending mission, so they went to work to plan and prep the aircraft. However it was about an hour before the mission was actually activated.

Jan and Mike decided to use over wing refuelling at Ceduna Airport today. One of the advantages of over wing refuelling is the ability to fill up with more fuel, which was an advantage for their 3 hours and 50 minute flight back to Karratha.
