After almost 10 years since the beginning, I am about to hand over as owner of Embrace Health Chiropractic.
It started in a back room in my apartment in Elwood with a massage table, pen and paper, bank transfer and my dog Roxy. I knew Chiropractic but had no idea how to run a proper business so leaned heavily on my ‘kitchen table business school’ from my Dad. And asked a lot of questions from a lot of people.
2 and a half years ago, just a few weeks pregnant with Henry, we moved our little family to Bendigo, exactly 163km from the practice.
So, pregnant, early postpartum and with two little kids in tow I made it work. I’ve had a lot of help, been a frequent vline participant, dodged kangaroos and seen some incredible sunrises driving down the Calder.
Truthfully I’m proud of what Embrace has become with a beautiful purpose built space and a community of clients. It has been this very special community of clients that has seen me knuckle down and ‘make it work’.
But, with two little boys looking at me, I realised that it was time to hand over the legacy and simplify before my health was to make the decision for me.
As Quinton Bryce once said when I saw her speak many years ago “Women can have it all, just not all at once”
So as I catch my last train ‘for work’ I know the next couple of days will be filled with magic, gratitude, love and a lot of tears. A lot of clients I’ve had the privilege of looking after for more than half of my 20 year career.
It’s been wild at times and I’ve loved every moment
Onwards I’ll be adjusting in Bendigo, after I have a little downtime with my family
Please give me a follow, I’d really appreciate it
