Hey ladies, when was the last time you checked in with your health? 🧐
One of the biggest reasons women may delay health checks is because they’re busy caring for everyone else. 👪
But it's important to remember, regular health checks are your best defence against illness. Early detection can make all the difference in the world, ensuring you stay strong and healthy for yourself and your family. 💞
Here's a list of some health checks you should add to your 'to-do' list:
❤️ a cervical screening test—every five years between the ages of 25 and 74
❤️ a heart health check—every two years if you're over 45, or in your 30s if you're a First Nations person
❤️ breast cancer health checks—a mammogram is recommended every two years between the ages of 40 and 74
❤️ bowel cancer checks—you're eligible for a free test kit every two years if you're between 45 and 74 years old
❤️ regular STI screening—every partner or every year
❤️ skin cancer checks—including regular self-administered skin checks.
Take a moment for yourself and book that appointment today, because your health is important too. 🥰
